Hi,

I'm relatively new to EH but I'm seeing a weird issue and I'm wondering if anyone else gets this.

When I get a match without a photo, I usually, if the profile sounds interesting enough and other things seem right, request the photo.

Recently, when I've got back to review some of these matches, it no longer says 'Photo requested on', but it's gone back to 'Request photo'.

Is there a reason why this happens? You lose the date of when you requested the photo (even though you've got the date you were matched).

I know I'm *100%* certain that I've requested the photo of these profiles, so it's not me having forgotten to request it!

Thanks

Interesting. Have not noticed that. But I also stopped requesting them some time back. There were a lot of different things going on with them changing things on EH recently. So maybe somehow things got reset? I dunno, maybe others will notice it now that you brought it up?

It seems to me like this has been brought up before and the photo nudges expire after a certain amount of time. A week maybe?

Hi vax72 and Everyone,

MicMan is correct: Photo nudges can expire after 7 days. After it expires, as long as the match is still open, you can send another request, and a total of three photo nudges can be made.

If the nudge is expiring sooner than 7 days, I suggest you contact our Singles Tech team by clicking on the Help link located at the bottom of all our Singles site pages.

All the best,

Hi Renee,

I very much like this rule.
ie, Photo Nudges expiring after 1 week, and allowing a total of 3 Photo Nudges.

I am just curious about the different rules for Photo Nudges versus regular Nudges?

(ie, where only 1 Nudge is allowed per Stage)

I would like to see a slightly different rule for regular Nudges, to be more in line with Photo Nudges.

I think there should be the same type of timing/amount of Nudges permitted for the Initial Stage/Stage 1.

This is because a lot of Matches at Stage 1 that don't respond to Initial Communication is usually because of 2 reasons:
1) They are an unpaid member.
2) They are living under some delusion that not Closing someone if they aren't interested is "nicer" than Closing them.

In the case of #1, allowing more than 1 Nudge, helps both us paid members as well as EHarmony to make more $.
This is because a unpaid member who sees a someone Nudge them a couple times might just very well ante up the money to see what makes us so interested in them.

In the case of #2, allowing more than 1 Nudge will encourage people who have no interest in a Match, to just Close the Match, rather than let us sit there wondering about if they are around or not.

I've seen this happen and assumed it was yet another software glitch.

This needs to be fixed, because it makes it look like you never requested the photo when you did. It should say something like "Photo requested March 1- would you like to request it again?"
