I just got this match and on the profile page, along with the other demographics data, it say's "This is a flexible match." I read the little blurb that pops up, saying how they didn't have any matches for me, so the relaxed my settings to get me this one.

Looking at the profile, I can't figure out what is different about the guy from my other matches I've had, he looks like a nice guy, and I'll probably initiate GC.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had experience with this. Is it very common? Are they that much different? Just curious about this new thing I've encountered.

I get flexible matches all the time. All it means is that eH has gone outside of your specific preference criteria (distance, height, religion, level of education, age, etc) to bring you this match. I've noticed that most of my flexible matches are "flexible" b/c they are outside of my specified distance criteria or outside of my preferred age range.

Yeah, I did look into it and he is one year younger than my range, which I forgot what I had put as the low end on that - more concerned with the high end personally. He's only a year younger than I, so I don't mind - I didn't even put thought into that end of it.

Great then! If you are interested based on what you have read so far then why are you trying to figure out why he's different? Maybe it won't matter. Just take it one step at a time.
