when we (okay, I) try to fix something already messed up.

So I got a request for communication. I was answering the questions, and apparently hit something I shouldn't have on the keyboard. Off went the answers to the questions, except that one of "answers" now only had the letter a in it.

So I thought I could send an email too, letting him know that I am only partially a doofus and giving the answer to the question that got messed up.

But now he says he didn't get any of the answers to my questions.

So, what did I mess up when I tried to explain my first goof?

I'm not sure, but if I saw an answer that was just one letter I would assume it was a glitch and not blame it on you.

I guess I have been spending too much time reading on here - sometimes I feel like people are just looking for the smallest strange reason not to talk to a person. I could just imagine this guy posting here along the lines of "So you'll never believe this one woman couldn't even be bothered to pick one of the choices." hehe

Unfortunately since the "make over" EH has been having a whole lot of technical glitches where communications are not going through properly. Lucky that at least your e-mail made it through.

I just did the same thing- except one of my answers was "t".

"If I had a bad day what is the first thing you would do for me?"

"t"

Maybe he'll think I would make him a cup of tea.

The topic of this thread is a bit unnerving. I have not experienced these problems (yet) but hitting a key on the keyboard and having the messages sent is not a good thing. I think that you people that are experiencing these problems should contact Lori and explain the problem. I would say contact Customer Care but that just never works out well and Lori at least will listen, understand the problem and can tell the eHarmony technical people that they have a problem (sorry Lori).

With reference to the OP's problem at least eHarmony thought that your answers went through for you to have been able to send an e-mail to your match.

I did something similar. Once we got to OC I explained to my match and answered the question. She really appreciated that I answered the question. We actually had a pretty good laugh over it.

In my case, having my profile closed is because I am male and walk upright (most of the time).

I've accidently initiated communication with the wrong person, I didn't notice the name AND lack of picture at the top when I was picking the questions. D'oh! So now I'm just waiting out a week to see if I hear back. There weren't any red flags in the profile, but there wasn't a picture and the profile looks like it was made in a hurry (little effort). So I guess I'll see. Could end up being one of those twists of fate that actually work out =)

I do think that there are some people that would rather look for reasons, no matter how small, not to communicate with someone than look for reasons to communicate with someone.
