I'm trying to answer a match's open-ended questions, but every time I try to submit my answers I get this error message:
"Your information was not processed because the following error(s) occurred:

We are sorry your answer to question 3 is too long. The maximum allowed number of characters is 1000 and your answer is 1003 characters."
I'm definitely under the character limit for question 3 and even if I delete 4+ characters it still won't let me submit. I've tried using all 3 web browsers on my computer (Google Chrome 3.0, Mozilla Firefox 3.5.7, and Internet Explorer 7) and I get the same error each time.

Any ideas?

There can be erros in submission. Usually there is a counter on the texts in 2nd question response and it used to not let you go past. I guess glitches in the new software on EH.

I have had problems in the past where answers didnt submit so I had to hit submit again.

It shouldn't let you type more characters than the specified limit- that's just poor programming.

It is bad programming. I fixed it by deleting a few words off question 1. It kept saying question 3, but in reality, it was question one that was too long. Even though it said 995 words (5 remaining), when you clicked, it wouldn't work. So long story short if you are having this problem, try shortening all 3 of your questions by one or two words and it should work.

Yeah, known issue.
Its counting is wrong by 10 or so characters.

Delete off a few more characterse to get down to about 980-990, and you will see that you will be able to submit it.

Dear geega98,

I must admit, it's answers like this that keep me from recommending eHarmony to any friends. The eHarmony answer any time you run across a problem, even on THREE different browsers, is it must be your browser cache. It can't possibly be eHarmony's problem. Its just insulting.

Perhaps if it were couched some way such as: "Sorry you have run across this problem. We, here at eHarmony, are dedicated to fixing problems like this. At present we are trying to track down this problem, could you try clearing your browser cache and see if it fixes the problem? And please send the problem, including the type of operating system and browser to eHarmony support.

Keep your answers much briefer, avoid writing novels, life-stories, dissertations...Solves both problems: eH glitch and boring your matches....Good Luck..
