I'd like to know my profile reads to you.
Any advice and suggestions would be helpful!
Thanks!!

1. What are you most passionate about?
Crafting, painting, knitting, drawing....well to be honest, anything that has to do with art I love! I also have a rugged side to me. I love camping. No, not Motel 8 camping, but grab your sleeping bag and we're off to sleep under the stars camping. I love to hike, canoe, archery, and get nice and dirty!!! I enjoy scuba diving and wish I had more time to do it. I also love to shop and people watch when I go to the malls. My family and friends are very important to me and I hold them dearly. I'm just a very curious girl who enjoys life and has a positive outlook on it!

2. What are the THREE things for which you are MOST thankful?
Family & Friends
Being independent
Job

3. Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and why?
My coworkers who are mostly from other countries have been a very big influence on my life recently. People from other cultures have a very different outlook on what's important in life versus how American's view it. But growing up my aunt and uncle's had the biggest influence.

4. The four things your friends say about you are:
Creative
Sweet
Happy
Warm

5. What are three of your BEST life-skills?
Cooking for my family and friends
Finding pleasure and contentment in simple things
Being a good friend and companion

6. What is the most important quality that you are looking for in another person?
Integrity + many other traits!

7. Other than your appearance, what is the first thing that people notice about you?
I'm easy to talk to and am very nice!

8. What is the ONE thing that people DON'T notice about you right away that you WISH they WOULD?
I catch on to things rather quickly

9. How do you typically spend your leisure time?
I love to hang out at home and watch movies or try cooking a new dish. When I'm not at home I'm out exploring Seattle and the surrounding area or spending time with friends. I also enjoy going to the gym and recently have been enjoying hot yoga!

10. What are five things that you "can't live without?"
family and friends
job
the gym
sunshine
chocolate

11. Describe the last book that you read and enjoyed. What was it about? What did you like most about it?
I don't always hop right to reading a book, I do enjoy magazines however. I did read Harry Potter and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I can't help but like the magical powers, I mean who wouldn't want to be able to fly around on a broom stick! Easy traveling and no more airports.

12. Describe one thing about yourself that only your best friends know.
My best friend knows what laugh I use for certain situations. I never realized it myself but when he told me about it he totally hit the nail on the head! I have a certain laugh when I'm nervous, when I'm wanting someone to leave but don't want to tell them to. I have a laugh when something is so funny I get the hiccups from laughing and a laugh when I'm content.

13. Is there any additional information you would like your matches to know about you?
I know I can't lick my elbow yet I still try every time even though "it's impossible to lick your elbow." -I bet you want to try it now!

You sound very young and cute. If you are over 30, I would lose some of the exclamation points (too enthusiastic!). You also sound like a nice person and a person pleaser-- perhaps you should make some demands in your profile of what you want in someone- not only of all you yourself have to offer, you know? I would hate to see you taken advantage of.

Lets see what some others say.

For numbers 6, 7, and 8, I would expand on that a little bit.

In number 6, why is integrity important to you? What does it mean?

Number 7, what makes you easy to talk to? What makes you nice? Have people always had an easy time talking to you?

With number 8, it wouldn't hurt to give a few examples somehow. It doesn't have to be very specific.

For number 11, I would take out the part about, "I don't read books too often but magazines!"; it's superfluous information and maybe a bit of a turn off for some men.

I only say the very last part because on these forums, I've seen a few guys say, "I close out any women who doesn't read books or only reads magazines!". Sure, they sound like pompous donkey's when they say that, but I think get the gist of their point. But even if you disagree with that part, I still think it's just unnecessary information. Remember, it's about whatever is the last book you read and why you liked it, not that you read magazines.

The view I get of you from your profile is that you are fun, active, sweet, playful, and young. There's a hint that you're also thoughtful and intelligent but you've downplayed that. If this is who you are, you nailed it!

If you are thoughtful and intelligent, would you be happy with a man who isn't? If not, you might want to put a little more emphasis on that side of you.

It's well written and engaging!

if i were a man, i'd be scared to hear about knitting and harry potter in your profile.

my impression, overlooking those things, is that you're a "cute girl."

Thank you for all the suggestions As much as I want people to know I'm a very nice person, I also want them to know I'm intelligent.
I'll work on revising it and maybe post it again.
Thanks!

Change it from a list of stuff to a few examples; I recntly attended a art course at ... favourite camping place ... but leave off shopping at malls (dull) ... and say something about your family that shows that they really are important to you. And show some curious; don't just assert such. Oh, some interest in sex and close physical contact with other humans might be useful for any match to know.

2. What are the THREE things for which you are MOST thankful?
Family & Friends
Being independent
Job

So-so. Why. What's being independent mean? And if so why post on dating site. I also feel its bullocks ... "no man is an Island" and all.

3. Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and why?
My coworkers who are mostly from other countries have been a very big influence on my life recently. People from other cultures have a very different outlook on what's important in life versus how American's view it. But growing up my aunt and uncle's had the biggest influence.

I can't see your uncle and aunt where that much of an influence as you say not a zot about them. Equally, what is it about you co-workers?

4. The four things your friends say about you are:
Creative
Sweet
Happy
Warm

Really; if you can't say something witty in response to this question you just sound arrogant. I imagine you are described as sweet. Work on this statement some.

5. What are three of your BEST life-skills?
Cooking for my family and friends
Finding pleasure and contentment in simple things
Being a good friend and companion

I'm feeling you are a caricature by this stage, not an actual person

6. What is the most important quality that you are looking for in another person?
Integrity + many other traits!

Well, I don't feel this creats any real interest. Better yet to say what faults or probelms you'd could deal with.

7. Other than your appearance, what is the first thing that people notice about you?
I'm easy to talk to and am very nice!

Now I'm feeling ill. And I don't believe you.

8. What is the ONE thing that people DON'T notice about you right away that you WISH they WOULD?
I catch on to things rather quickly

Not in writing pofiles you don't. Did you read any others to get better ideas.

9. How do you typically spend your leisure time?
I love to hang out at home and watch movies or try cooking a new dish. When I'm not at home I'm out exploring Seattle and the surrounding area or spending time with friends. I also enjoy going to the gym and recently have been enjoying hot yoga!

Point 9 is kinda inconsistent with pouint 1. Same issues apply

10. What are five things that you "can't live without?"
family and friends
job
the gym
sunshine
chocolate

Now I'm laughting; great "choclate" and "gym" ... just try I love a big block a choc after pounding 10km on the tred-mill ... and wonder if I might not be better eating less and not having to run so far ... but leave off job (you've said 23 thousands times so far) who wants a partner who has no time at all for them

That's great ... you say what HP makes you feel.

Much better

13. Is there any additional information you would like your matches to know about you?
I know I can't lick my elbow yet I still try every time even though "it's impossible to lick your elbow." -I bet you want to try it now!

The sexual connotations of this work a wonder.
Finally, a picture is worth thousand words.
