I sent an icebreaker to a guy a few weeks ago (different dating site). He replied back 2 weeks later...apologizing and saying he was frustrated with dating sites and took a break. And asked if I was still around.

I replied back, saying I was. This was Oct. 30.

He's been online since then, but no reply. Should I nudge him? I'm not sitting around staring at my computer, waiting for a reply. But he seemed interested...then nothing. Thought about sending a message: Now it's my turn to ask...you still around?

I don't nudge people, infact when the Nudge message comes up that is my cue to close them out for good! I really don't have time to waste on people who aren't 100% interested in me.

Seemed interested?!

Sorry Islandrain, People who are interested don't act like that. I think he was just venting his frustrations to the first person he encountered

Send him an email.. It can't hurt and you have nothing to lose.

I wouldn't say... you still around though. ask a question or make a joke.. Give him something he needs think about.. 'You still around" is a one word answer!

Personally I might nudge the guy, I could throw my arms up in the air and assume he is not interested in me and go about my business or I could nudge the guy he will either then begin communication again or still ignore you or whatever. But does it hurt it try? I think not. The nudge button was put for a reason and I say use it.

I vote no nudge. He knows you are interested, he has been online, and you might just irritated him. Why do they have that nudge thing anyways?

You cannot tell when someone has been on eHarmony except when they view you. But the OP did say that this was on a different dating site. Most other sites do indicate when you were last on. (That is why when I was on Match I would sometimes view my matches without logging on)

I say no nudge. I'd just move on and let things happen the way they are.

This is an interesting question. I tend to agree with the Captain that you have nothing to loose by sending him an e-mail. On the other hand if he was actually interested then when you replied to his e-mail that was an indication that you were still interested in talking to him. So really the ball is in his court.
