This woman I just got into OC with gave me her phone number and suggested I call her mid week after I asked for it. Do I reply saying like good deal and give her mine too, or is that too corny?

Why would that be corny? Seems like the only appropriate response here followed by you actually calling of course.

Personally I'd just call her. Assuming that like most people these days her primary phone is a cell, she'll have your number as soon as you call. Replying by email with your phone number seems pointless, but also harmless.

I'm confused...you asked for her phone number, she gave it to you and asked you to call her, and in response you were going to give your phone number instead?

What was the reasoning for this?

Just call!!

Call her midweek. If you get her voice mail, leave your number so she can return the call.

That's what I am planning. A call Thursday afternoon. Hope we have something to talk about. If it all goes well, maybe a brief meet on the weekend.

Actually, I would respond with my phone number..That way she knows who is calling. She will also have it saved in an email. Voicemails can sound scratchy or mumbled, numbers can get mixed up etc... just limits the room for error or even an excuse!

Personally I don't pick up calls from numbers I am not familiar with.

I too think you should give her your phone number so she knows who is calling. Just send her an e-mail saying, "Thank you for your phone number. Here is mine in case you have caller ID." or something similar.

Some people screen their calls. Voice mails can be hard to understand some times.

So we have the following details. Tomorrow the call to the most recent OC who gave me her phone number. The first one, the one I've been communicating for three weeks via e-mail replied back to my last request of speaking on the phone or meet in person said the that she'd rather meet up than speak on the phone. Preferably this weekend (Saturday night). Already have plans Saturday, so can't really do that unless we meet in the morning or something. Though, weird that she'll give me her name and last name (her e-mail has her last name in it), meet in person, but not give a phone number. No? Or, should I suggest a meet Sunday or Saturday morning, but ask for a phone number in case plans change?

Really confusing here. Then, on top of that, I assume I will have an eventual meet with this other woman after I talk to her tomorrow (unless I screw that up).

Advice on how to proceed?
