Ok I closed my account and it is currently in the archives. I had the one year membership deal and I am wondering will it charge me if I re-open my account?

Hi Codysan,

That’s a great question. If you just re-opened your account, you wouldn’t be automatically charged again.

Just a few things about what happens when you close your account. Once your account is closed, if any matches you’ve already received try to look at your profile, they see a blank white screen that lets them know that your profile is unavailable. If you close your account for a day or more, all the matches you’ve received will be moved to your closed page.

Although re-opening your account online will not reinstate your subscription automatically, you do have the choice of having it reinstated if it hasn’t expired and you haven’t received a refund. If you decide you do want to continue, you can just contact our Customer Care team through the Help link: eHarmony Support Home Page.

Otherwise, without further action on your part, you’ll be able to view your matches, they’ll be able to view you and you’ll be able to receive new matches. Essentially, your account will be in an “Expired” status.

All the best,

~Kate
