I'm using Safari 4, and there are a few problems that don't seem to go away:

* I cannot access the Basic Plan tab on the subscription page.
* I cannot view more than the first common trait in the "Something to talk about" box
* In the "Personal Preferences" tab, the numbers 1-7 are set off from the sliding scale, starting at "very," and continuing to the right. Not really a problem, but aesthetically weird.

I notified tech support of the first problem about four weeks ago, but all I've gotten (twice!) is a suggestion to empty the cache, which has never worked; neither has history kill. (And I do mean twice; that message was first sent in response to my initial query. I immediately wrote back saying it didn't work. Then "Jason" wrote back saying they were "working with [their] Engineering Team to resolve this technical issue and expect to have this completed very soon." A couple of weeks later I wrote back to "Jason" requesting an update (and adding a couple of new, unrelated items). His response? That original message. And my e-mail included all previous communication, *including* that message!)

Anyone else having Safari issues?

Skip safari and go with Firefox...

I have a PC and a MAC... I stick with explorer when using my PC and use ONLY Firefox when using my MAC. Seems to work for me and it's a quick and easy download.

Good Luck!

I also have Safari 4 and I just thought they weren't actually offering the Basic Plan. Are you sure that's a bug and not a feature? Have I overpaid?

I have not tried to use Safari for the main eHarmony site in some time (probably more than a year), I just use Firefox for it. Maybe I'll give it a whirl again later today.

I do use Safari for the eHarmony Advice site though, and they did seem to get all the bugs worked out for that. It used to have all kinds of quirks in Safari.

Have never tried Safari but Firefox works great on both the dating site and this one.

When I signed up approx 3 weeks ago, you could pick "premium plan" or "basic plan" -- but "basic plan" was grayed-out and didn't work. I thought that meant there is no basic plan. I think it did not include secure call, relyid, premium profile, maybe some other stuff.

Thanks all for the suggestions. I would really prefer to stick with Safari, but will definitely keep Firefox in mind...particularly if the matching crew manages to send me someone interesting enough before the tech crew gets its act together.

There is a Basic Plan; from what I've gathered from glimpses of the occasional ad, it can be had for as low as $19.99/month if you sign up for a year. It's strictly communications and photo requesting/viewing; no ID verification (this seems silly, though I can imagine why some might want it), Secure Call (might be useful for me since I have no cell phone and am reluctant to give out my home number), or ultra in-depth personality profile (I think my regular one was a little off anyway, so why would I want this?).

I think your problems are not with any web browser, I have Internet Explorer and just visiting EHA I have to shutdown and restart.
