There's another current thread here about photo-less matches.

OK I have further questions. How many photos? and what kind?

I posted a headshot taken with my icam when I created my profile 2 weeks ago. It's a nice shot and it absolutely looks like me. I don't have a digital camera and no backlog of pictures to post, and my intention was to borrow a friend and a camera and get more pictures posted.

I didn't immediately get around to that, and now (2 weeks later) I'm debating whether I want to put up any more photos. A few days into my membership here I ran into a guy I was matched with on Match (never communicated with) and I found that somewhat creepy. I prefer to keep some anonymity here until I have had a chance via GC and OC to do some weeding. I don't really want to display places I go, people I know, etc. I don't think I would have recognized the Match guy if all he had posted was a headshot. But he's a photographer and had posted photo's of his favorite places to shoot, which happen to be my favorite places to dogwalk. I recognized him because of the location, the big-league camera he was shooting with, and only then from his face.

I don't think he recognized me. But if I'd posted a photo of me and my dog in that same park, he probably would have. Because I was there in that park, and had my dog with me.

I think I am coming to think that if someone won't communicate with me because all I have is a headshot, I can live with that.

I think at some point in OC (haven't gotten there yet) I would be willing to trade more photos. I understand many people don't want to bother with a meet-up if they know they can't stand the way the other person looks.

How many of you would turn down someone with just a headshot? Am I being paranoid? I'm a middle-aged female who lives in a big urban mess with a significant crime problem.

Four pictures are needed. Face picture, butt picture, boob picture and full body shot. If you choose not to include one of the 4, I will expect the worst.

But a head shot like that is irresistible, I can't blame you. Not everyone can be as talented as I though.

My dogs have trouble with the small keys

As for pics, I think a good blend showing you doing your favorite things (ie see my gallery). IMHO the more pictures, the better. Smiles (genuine) are a good thing.

Photos NOT to include:
You with another guy (actually saw photo of girl with guy having arm draped over her shoulder and hand essentially cupping her breast)
You in attire not "natural" to you (whether it be a formal dress or what). I personally had one pic of me in suit and tie. While I do have 8 suits and wear them from time to time, it is not "me"... I actually feel more comfortable in my 1800's cowboy gear, including Stetson and pistol on my hip.

Also note that although EH has guidelines that may cause a photo to be initially rejected (computer program I think), you can always appeal with an explanation ( I did for 3 photos).

I'd suggest 4. One good photo of your face, one good photo of all of you, and 2 photos of you doing things you like to do. A few more is OK.

Once it gets up past 10-12 or more, I start to wonder if one isn't getting a bit self-absorbed or putting oneself out there too much.
