If I view an open comm. message, do I show up in Last Viewed for today?

My match sent me a message. If I click on the "New Message" button under the Communication Tab under My Matches to read the message, will my match be able to tell that I read the message? Would it change my last viewed status to today?

I actually had the same question. I review alot of my matches pages to see if they may have changed something because that will tell me if they aren't interested by not responding to me and having edited their profile.

No, it doesn't seem like it. I've been in open communication with matches in the past, regularly, and they wouldn't show up. I guess it's only if you actually look at their profile.

I am pretty sure that's now it is. Just wanted someone to confirm -- if they set their profile to ananymous viewing, they also would not show up under most recent viewed.

Hi Firefly1977,

Just wanted to further confirm a few things. Only if you clicked on your match’s profile itself would it show that you viewed the profile. So if you just click on the link on the My Matches page, it doesn’t register as a view on your match’s Who’s Viewed Me page.

Just another thought – your match won’t know when you opened his message. This is kept private and allows you to respond at a rate which is comfortable for you.

Sincerely,

~Kate
