O C Guy, I am sorry to hear that! And via email, too....that wasn't classy.

I do think the profile statement sounds just a teensy bit negative, but perhaps she meant it to say, "maybe you're the one to prove me wrong?"

Or perhaps I am just not seeing it as all that negative because it pales in comparison to the match.com profile pasted in another thread in this board.....

Sounds negative and that she only tries eH off and on when she has nothing better going on. If I saw this in a profile, I would wonder why he was even on eH.

I must admit that I did think the line in question was a teensy bit negative and it is not something I would ever put in my profile.
Even though I have met 1 man and had no "dates" I am still not going to sound anything but upbeat and positive in my profile.....although, maybe an Eyore would get more dates than a Tigger?
