I dread this question! I roll my eyes everytime I receive it. Which seems to be alot. I think it's a trick question. I maybe interupting this wrong. imo any answer can be misunderstood.. I know same goes for other questions too and I'm looking way to into it.

When in a relationship, how much personal space do you generally find you need?

A) I don't have a great need for "personal space". I like lots of together time.
Clingy, needy and I have no friends
B) I find my time spent working is enough personal time, the rest I like to spend with my partner. once work is over I have nothing else going on in my life.
C) As long as I can get one night a week to myself, my personal space needs are met.
I need a guys night b/c you are smothering me
D) When I'm with my partner I'm completely there, but I do need considerable time for personal reflection.
I have no clue what personal reflection actually means!

I see many of you respond with an E: other answer writing you own might be the best choice..

Well I am a pretty independent. I like to spend a good bit of time with my SO but I am completely comfortable being "solo" and I have some non social activities that I like to partake in.

Thanks

I just need a night or 1/2 day and1/2/ day or something like that depends on the situation. By no means does it mean I don't or am loosing interest in my boyfriend. Life is Great!

Zeeke it's agreat quality to be able to spend time with yourself. Some people can't stand themselves so they always have to be doing something with other people. Good quality to watch out for. Nice talking with you. I' a lady looking for compaionship but independenc in a man so I love it.

Believe me, there are folks out there who analyze this stuff much deeper than I.

A basic assumption of all of the "getting to know you" questions is that you and your match will be building a solid long term relationship.
Really? Who said that? You really put yourself in that frame of mind with every single match you contact? How do you stay sane?

The goal of eH is to meet people. Which means you've got to create a little desire in her mind to want to meet you.

Don't you ever wonder if the straight, honest, and totally bland answers that you say you give to every question, might be working against you at times?

yeah. for example, a co-worker asked me yesterday if i wanted to go to the beach with her today (we both had the day off). well, it was a no go. she wanted to do the whole day without a plan, including when to meet, and just hang around until kingdom come. a person with this kind of time to kill, who can put her life on hold indefinitely, needs little personal space and needs you to need little personal space.

i on the other hand always have a tomorrow to prepare for today.

Each person is unique and different; accept and celebrate the differences. My answer is D. I need alone, as in AllONE time, so I may come together and rejoin my partner. Two separate unique individual who create a togetherness, while growing in individualness and as a couple. Can't be a couple w/o two individuals who know who they are, hence my need for personal relfection.

To the OP:

You state that you like to spend "quite a bit" of time with your SO, or that you are "solo" and unsocial.

It seems from that answer that you might be coming off as clingy, and when you are not with her, are not with anybody else.
Ya I see that. I can't say that I am clingy at all. I have a pretty decent set of friends and I also like to do things that don't require "wingmen" (or wingwomen)
