In my honest experience, I have been on eHarmony long enough to know that most matches (about 99.99%) that have no photo (and possibly a very short incomplete profile as well) are nowhere near serious about finding the love of their life and more than likely just signed up with EH for the fun of it, filled out the 2-hour EH questionairre, only to never return to the site.
Let's face facts!: The photo nudge feature is absolutely useless in my honest opinion. As far as I can remember, in my total 15 months of being on EH and having gone through more than 1,000 matches, I can only recall just 1 time that a match actually responded to my photo nudge. The rest of them did nothing, they also didn't even view my profile (AFAIK), which probably means they never even logged back in to EH, despite me giving them a weeks or even months sometimes to respond.
I can get as many as 6-7 matches a day, but sometimes even less than that. Regardless of that number, about everyday as much as 50% or more of my matches that do come in have no photo at all, and many of these also have a very short, brief, incomplete useless profile that does not give me any good information. These matches do not stand a chance against me. If I open a match that has no photo, I always close it in about 2 seconds (I don't even care to read the profile; it's a waste of time as far as I am concerned). Not to mention, I always close these matches for the reason that 'There are no photos posted/I couldn't see any photos.'
After going through what seems like a couple hundred or so of these matches that I have received in the last 3 months (this wasn't very common before then), and always closing them very quickly and for the same reason every single time, I would of thought that by now EH would be paying attention and monitoring this and not sending me more matches that are of the same type. I really thought that EH would realize by now what happens to these matches that get sent to me, 100% of the time, all the time, never failing to get exactly the same result.
EH, please please please please please, quit trying to fill up my space with worthless matches and instead why not send me some great matches that might actually be worth taking the time to look over and attempt to pursuit them. ALSO, TO THE EH STAFF:
DON'T GIVE ME ANY OF THAT USUAL NONSENSE AND RHETORIC THAT I NORMALLY GET FROM EH CUSTOMER SERVICE. ALL THAT STUFF THAT SAYS THAT WELL, I SHOULD TRY THIS AND I SHOULD TRY THAT, AND I SHOULD GIVE ALL MY MATCHES CONSIDERATION REGARDLESS OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES. BLEAHHHH!!! I'VE ABOUT HEARD ENOUGH OF THAT BULLHONKEY!!! I KNOW YOU GUYS HAVE PROTOCOLS TO FOLLOW, BUT I'VE PRACTICALLY MEMORIZED THEM BY NOW AND I ALSO BELIEVE THAT MOST OF IT IS JUST A BUNCH OF BULLHONKEY IMHO, MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL. I HAVE ENOUGH EXPERIENCE WITH EH TO KNOW THIS. IT IS ALSO GETTING QUITE OFFENSIVE AS OF LATE. I WILL HEAR NONE OF IT, NEVER. WON'T EVEN READ IT, WON'T EVEN PAY ANY ATTENTION TO IT. IN EFFECT, EH IS JUST WASTING THEIR TIME WITH ME BY DOING SO. SO STOP IT, NOW!!!

I’m very sorry to hear that you have found our attempts to help offensive. We do try to inform members what has worked based on what our couples who have success report back to us.
That said, I won’t go on any further. Thank you for your feedback. I have forwarded it to our development department.
For the first time ever I actually sent 5Q to a profile with no photo. An hour later, she closed me. No biggie, but it feels like playing bridge with somebody that can see your hand.
Seems Mr Nice Guy has some anger issues to work out. This is the 2nd post of his that I have read that is really really angry. The other one was about women who close HIM out without giving him a chance. Interesting.
EH, please please please please please, quit trying to fill up my space with worthless matches and instead why not send me some great matches that might actually be worth taking the time to look over and attempt to pursuit them.
Ever stop to think someone has thought this about you?
Do they rant and rave like a lunatic just because they have yet to be matched with their ideal? You don't always get what you want when you want it.
I suggest you try to relax before posting of your grief on not being matched with someone you find "valuable".
I can tell you're pretty much fed up. I can understand, I sure was, I cancelled my account 48 hours before my term was up and have not looked back. Now I'm just curious because you reveal that you have Asperger's Syndrome. It is a disorder that is getting a lot of attention these days, but still some people are unenlightened and don;t understand it. That would include some of your matches. They are certainly short-sighted to close you out for it, but its a reality. I think eHarmony markets itself a lot to a socially conservative crowd.

Hang in there.
Actually, I don't tell my matches upfront in my profile that I have AS, out of fear of this kind of judgement. I once did this awhile back, and I kept getting frequently closed out because of statements in my profile. Hmmmmm, go figure! Nowadays I wait until a more appropriate time after we have both spent some time getting to know each other. That always happens in Open Communication or sometime shortly thereafter.
The best way and only sensible way to deal with any service you are unhappy with is to vote with your feet. That means walk away and chalk it up to experience. You can say you tried EH and it wasn't for you and move on. Just one little observation Mr Nice Guy--I don't think that all the ranting and raving ever serves anyone well and it seems a little against what I would expect from a proud Christian.
As to the broader problem--only if people get the word out about the big flaw with EH--allowing People to "view all your matches for free" which they advertise --will they change. Let's face it they want the money from people signing up and I will bet every newbie doesn't know at first that no picture and short bio means that person is not a paying member.

Do you have something completely stupid to talk about? Come here. Talk. It's a simple two step process. Please have a good sense of humor about all this. It is good for the heart.
