Please let me know how I can improve my profile. I've gotten a lot of matches and only a few replies. Any advice is would be appreciated!
1. What are you most passionate about?
I have been passionate about food and cooking from a very young age. I also love being outdoors doing whatever for the sake of being outside. In the past I was involved in practicing and teaching self defense.

2. What are the THREE things for which you are MOST thankful?
1. Family
2.Good Food
3. Humor

3. Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and why?
My older brother as he has always been there for me. We keep each other afloat when one of us is struggling and we can always rely on each other.

4. The four things your friends say about you are: Edit
Intelligent
Easy-Going
Perceptive
Funny

5. What are three of your BEST life-skills? Edit
Using humor to make friends laugh
Cooking for my family and friends
Making improvements and repairs around the house

6. What is the most important quality that you are looking for in another person?
I'd like to meet someone that loves life, an optimist.

7. Other than your appearance, what is the first thing that people notice about you?
My sarcastic and dry sense of humor. I can be fairly quiet at first.

8. What is the ONE thing that people DON'T notice about you right away that you WISH they WOULD?
I'm not sure what people notice about me so I can't say what I wish they would notice. I actually wish that I would show who I really am when I first meet somebody rather than be shy.

9. How do you typically spend your leisure time?
Lately I have been doing some metalwork as a hobby. I've gotten back into going to movies now that my hours for work are more regular. I'm always on the lookout to find new things to see and do. I'm not much for bars or drinking but I like to go out where the crowds are and have a good time. I'm a bit of a couch potato but I tend to get restless if I sit around for too long.

10. What are five things that you "can't live without?"

a. Family
b. Friends
c. Exercise
d. Hot Showers
e. Intimacy

11. Describe the last book that you read and enjoyed. What was it about? What did you like most about it?
It was probably a textbook. I can't say that I particularly enjoyed it. I read a lot of things but not books. It's usually something educational or instructional. I've been known to read cookbooks from beginning to end.

12. Describe one thing about yourself that only your best friends know.
I don't tend to hide anything about myself from anybody.

13. Is there any additional information you would like your matches to know about you?
I'm generally an easy going and nice guy. I'm a hard worker and very dedicated to anything or anyone I'm involved with. There's nothing I wouldn't do for the people I care about.

I don't see anything wrong. #6 and #7 might seem at odds with each other, but that's just my opinion.

Personally I'm not a fan of one word answers to the "what I'm thankful for" question. Especially when you're using a common answer, throw in a phrase telling more about it or why you're thankful for it to add some interest.

Huh? What's this all about? We don't rewrite profiles here. We just offer comments and perceptions.

For what it's worth, I like to use actual, specific items here. Anyone can say "family" and "friends". "Hot showers" is specific.

Thanks everyone. I'll try to be more specific and elaborate instead of give one word answers. I tend to be a one word answer kind of guy when I write so it's a good reminder!
