Sometimes customer service agrees with me on the following point and sometimes they disagree, depending on whom I talk to.

It is my opinion that once a match is closed by you or the other, a later view from that match will only show up as anonymous, even if the other's setting is for "Show my name and City/State".

So there's no confusion [about refreshing the browser], we'll say a day or more after a closing. My question is has anyone ever seen in your views a specific name who has been closed, not just "anonymous"?

My understanding is that closed profiles do not show up in "who has viewed you" at all. This is why (when my account was active) I could open my account, not see any new views, and then find that a new match had closed me (which, obviously, he could not have done without viewing my profile!).

Yes, yes, yes, but I was talking about a day or more after a match had been closed [to simplify the question].

The reason I started this thread was there have been times when the total of the anonymous views [of my profile] was greater than the total number of communicating and new matches combined!!!

That’s odd. Neardc is correct on this one. I would love to see your Who’s Viewed Me page when that sort of thing happens. If you contact the Customer Care link through the Help link (http://www.help-singles.eharmony.com) and go through the Technical category, we could try to figure it out at the time that it’s happening or there’s some other reason for it. As it seems you already know, one match’s view doesn’t show necessarily every time they view your profile. It only shows up for the last time they viewed it.

I still don't think neardc and you are talking about the exact same thing I am. We can wait a few days and after I close a few matches, see if my anonymous number does not go down or eventually wait until I have almost no matches and see if the anonymous number is higher.

Did neardc actually say once a match has been closed, a view will not show up from her - ever [unless re-opened]? That can't be right.

I’m pretty sure we’re talking about the same thing, here:

1. You have an open match, and you see when she’s viewed you (or, there’s an anonymous view that could represent a view by an open match).
2. You close the match or the match closes you.
3. You refresh your screen or log out of your eHarmony account.
4. You no longer see their views (whether they’d been anonymous or named).
5. A few days later, you start seeing anonymous views on your Who’s Viewed Me page. The amount of views is more than the amount of matches on your New and Communicating tabs under My Matches.

Is this the scenario you’re describing, Pussinboots? If it is, then it sounds like an error on our side, not the view of a closed match. In fact, I have confirmed with the technical department that this kind of thing may be a display error (and it would be appropriate to contact us to resolve it). It is, however, impossible for a closed match’s view to appear on your Who’s Viewed Me page. This includes anonymous views.

Hope that helps clear up the mystery!

OK, Kate, that is finally what I am talking about. By the way, no one in customer service ever told me views from closed matches would not appear at all. They either agrred with my "anonymous" opinion or said that the closed match HAD to have her setting on anonymous.

I tried clicking on the link you provided, but it didn't work. At this time, I wanted to report I have two anonymous views. I absolutely know you won't tell me who they are - you don't have to remind me why - but I would like to know if they are from either my communicating or new matches. If you say yes to both - at least in this case, we'll see about the future! - I can make an educated guess to whom at least one is. [Sorry] If you say no, then obviously the technical department must resolve it. As I said, the link didn't work [in Firefox].

Wow pussinboots I have no where near as many girls viewing my profile as I have New and Communicating matches.
