Hi Everyone!

I'm hoping a few of you would review my pics that I have posted on eH and give me some honest constructive criticism! I've only been on eH a month, have 40 some matches and not one communique from any of them, so of course, I'm looking for all kinds of reasons "why not?". I have tried to "break the ice" with matches I'm interested in and even sent first questions to one, don't know why no responses...anyway take a look at my pics and tell me what you think!

I've posted my pics on my profile here at dating advice!

Thanks!

Diane

Diane, although your pictures are nice and you look good in them - they are more or less the same. Make them a bit more exciting and get someone to take photos of you when you are doing things you like, pictures in different environments, when traveling and so forth.
Good luck with it.

Hi Montanadi –

I would second Mokkesofie’s observation. The photos you do have are excellent – they clearly show your warm and happy expression. They project a wonderful sense of fun and flirtation. The background of the tree and the open area is also a nice touch. So the ones you do have are going to work in your favor. From my personal observation, a variety of photos creates intrigue and could increase the amount of communication. (Your matches will be able to imagine what it would be like to be with you in your activities).

You may very well have already read these, but I'll post them just in case. They are eHarmony Advice articles about posting photos:

Good luck, Montanadi! I hope you meet someone special soon.

Sincerely,

~Kate

I agree with the above. A few additional thoughts....

Don't post more than two shots from the same setting or in the same clothes. If you have several, pick the two that look the best (and they should be of different poses).

Avoid the "holding your arm out and taking a picture of yourself" shots. It is very difficult to make these look flattering, and they suggest that it's the only way you can get a picture taken (although they are a much better option than the "pic in the mirror" photo...lol!). Use the timer on your camera instead if you are taking the photos yourself.

These photos look kind of washed out, like they weren't taken on the right setting or something (and at least one is blurry). If you use a photo program (I just use Google's free program, Picasa), you can quickly do an automatic fix that will adjust the colors and brighten them so they look more like they do in life. And, use a fill flash if you are taking a photo outdoors where your face is in the shade.

Good luck!

The two photo's which you've posted that I like best are the full-body shot and one where you are turned sideways and laughing and looking mischievious. I think they show your fun-loving side.

I always think that a man would like to see how you look in several settings. You could use those two that I mentioned for your 'casual' look, then do one all dressed up as though you were ready to go out for a hot date to a very nice restaurant or some sort of fancy event. You might go through your photos and find a wedding you went to or something where you have really gotten dressed up. Sort of a red-carpet event look. It would also be good to have one where you are dong something sporty that a guy could do with you so he could picture himself with you by his side.

Good luck!

I agree with the others that most of your photos are the same.

I would go with #3 (full shot next to the tree) and the last one (light green top) is your best close up except that it is obvious that you are holding the camera taking your own picture. If you could get someone to take that same pose that would be better.

At least you have photos, they are large and clear. Since it seems that you usually wear glasses I would suggest keeping your glasses on for your photos. As mentioned other photos of you doing the things you enjoy would be a bonus.

Compared to the matches that I receive you have done a stellar job.

I think that you are too hard on yourself. While your current photo shows only the top of your head you did have a different one up a little while ago and it was very nice.
