I can't believe they get away with this - I closed my account back in December and was shocked to see a charge on my credit card statement a few weeks later. They processed it as an auto-renew. I e-mailed and called and complained. Eventually they agreed to refund the $49.95. Now I know it is not alot of money, but they never processed the refund. Calling now, they tell me that have no record of agreeing to the refund and cannot issue a refund!!!

You need to turn off the auto renew a week or two before your subscription expires.

Seems that if you contacted customer service and were told a refund would be issued then if you did not get that credited to your credit card account by the next statement you should have contacted them again not wait some 8 months to complain.

I actually turn it off as soon as I join (i.e., I "quit" my membership as soon as I join). That way I won't forget to do it later and I don't have to think about it again.
