Hi. I'm wondering if everyone receives the same number of matches as I do. eH doles out exactly 7 matches for me every day at 3 a.m. EST. Regardless of how wide my settings are or how often I hit that "Find New Matches" link, it's always the same.

I'm in Toronto. I'm sure there are less members in Canada, but with all the inactive (bogus!) profiles they send me, they can probably keep up that magic 7 indefinitely. On average, I get about 3 real profiles per day. I guess by doling out a few at a time, it encourages me to stretch out my subscription.

You're too funny! Actually, it was like that for me at first, but trust me, the matches started dropping off after about 2 weeks.

Mine dropped to zero before the first month was over.

Really?! I've been a member for just over a month, and it's always been 7. I'll be sure to report back if/when eH runs out of inactive profiles, and that number starts dwindling. Or perhaps they'll just recycle them back into circulation

Indeed; eH does not give you all of your available matches at once. They are distributed to you over a period of time. How would you like it if instead you received 400 (or 1,000) matches in your inbox on your first day and then didn't receive another match for six months? Would that be a better approach?

Please reread my question. I was not griping about the fact that they dole out matches. I was asking whether others were also receiving exactly 7 matches regardless of setting. I was, however, griping that most of my daily allotment are inactive and useless--a unanimous complaint on this forum.

But in answer to your question, YES, I would prefer to get 1,000 at once then nothing for 6 months. That way, I only need to subscribe 2 months per year!

The bolded part is out and out false. All my matches seem to be legit, and I know I'm not the only one who trusts EH in that area.

I've been on about a month, and get the magic 7 every day too. (120 mile radius.) We must have signed up around the same free weekend.

I never received that many at one time. Ever. Even on my first day of joining I received 6 matches. After that, I'd maybe get 7 a month, in a good month.

No I got less...even from the get go. Whatever answers you put initially must be compatible with a wider range of people which I think is a good thing. The fact that you are developing your skill at weeding out those that are bogus is a positive thing in and of itself. It's more convenient to just click the mouse than to have to actually have to go through a crowded room full of people. I believe in enjoying the journey/process because hopefully at the end we learn more about ourselves and what it is we really want and need. Hopefully soon enough we will reach the end of that path and find that special someone to begin a lasting relationship with.
I wasn't a paying member and skeptical before. There was no way to communicate with me, so initially I was a bogus profile as well. Now I am a paying member because of some interesting profiles that peaked my interests and mostly because I was just ready for more in my life. Maybe your profile will inspire someone else I did have more than I expected initially, only because I have such strict criteria. They did dwindle. I am happy about that. You don't take conversations with another religious Muslim lightly as there are strict guidelines surrounding male/female communications.
Hopefully there will be some changes soon to help you as I have notice other threads from members with helpful advice to change EH.
