Just wondering how long you have been using eharmony or were using eharmony? I'm curious about typical usage here of the service before success or taking a break. Thanks!
For example, I've taken breaks (both turning off matching and ending membership) to explore matches with potential as well as when I just need a break from the search.
The current match I've been talking with 3 weeks just signed up for 3 months...and I was on the service for just over 3000 matches (several years) before I found one with such potential for a future together. Time will tell either way but it's a good feeling as I've never felt someone could be "the one" before.
So how long were you on eharmony or how long have you signed up for?

Reason: Additional info
I have been on eHarmony since January 2008. There were a couple of times when I had matching turned off briefly because I wanted to concentrate on a match that I thought could have serious potential. Silly me
Since mid July. I think the majority of my matches are non-paying members. I got to the stage with one match where I'm waiting for them to send MHCS. It's been two weeks since, I think I'm going to close him.
I've never yet been on for a full 12 months in a row. But if I add up the time across the last two years or so I think it would be over a year.
I let the membership lapse a couple of times because I was disappointed in the lack of results.
This time though, I also have the ehAdvice dimension. So I am realizing that it can take longer than I gave it, and that some people have really been successful.
I might hang in there a little longer if eHarmony does something about separating the paying matches from the free matches. Many people here on the boards have asked for that identification of paid subscribers. But so far eHarmony has refused.
I initially subscribed for 3 months and towards the end of the first month the succession of dates really kicked in. Right after I extended for one more month I decided on 'the one' and turned off matching and then canceled my subscription.
