1. What are you most passionate about? My faith in Jesus, above all. I'm not one of those to beat the scripture into others, but it is the most important part of who I am. I love clog dancing...nope, we don't wear wooden shoes! I sing, enjoy being outside, and being close to those I care for (in conversation and proximity) and I'm interested in anything creative (writing, coloring with kids, painting, pottery, graphics, etc) I am also good as "free labor" I don't mind getting dirty and enjoy helping friends with grunt work. Right now, I'm scraping the paint off of a 1958 travel camper for a friend to transform into a playhouse for her grandkids. Fun times to be had!2. What are the THREE things for which you are MOST thankful? 1.
2.
3. 3. Other than your parents, who has been the most influential person in your life and why? I have moved a lot in my short years. I have been blessed to have known people at every new adventure who held me accountable to my own moods, behaviors, decisions and growth. I never think that the way I am is good enough to stay put. I think these many friends, and God's hand in their influence, instilled this in my 'knowing.' I'm not neurotic, by any means, but I'm always influence-able. I can always be better. My dance and aerobics’ teacher is my current mentor. She holds me accountable spiritually as well as motivating me to reach for healthy fitness goals.4. The four things your friends say about you are: Edit Creative
Intelligent
Spontaneous
Perceptive
5. What are three of your BEST life-skills? Edit Finding pleasure and contentment in simple things
Raising and/or caring for children
Communicating my innermost thoughts and feelings
6. What is the most important quality that you are looking for in another person? A best friend. If you are one of my best friends, then the other most important qualities will fall into place.7. Other than your appearance, what is the first thing that people notice about you? I cannot remember an age when I have not received comments about my "beautiful smile." I blushed every time I heard those words when I was a girl. That is kind of an appearance thing, though isn't it? Well, when someone new meets me, it doesn't take very long for them to notice that I am deeply introspective. People often comment that I am very intelligent. It surprises me some to hear them say that, since I am not overly book smart. I analyze to a fault, at times...maybe that makes me "appear" to be smart?!?!8. What is the ONE thing that people DON'T notice about you right away that you WISH they WOULD? I'm less secure in face to face situations when I'm first getting to know new people, but my awkwardness is just an initial phase. You wait and see me once I warm up, baby!9. How do you typically spend your leisure time? I like to spend time with friends over a shared project such as painting or working in the yard where we can talk at the same time. I enjoy walking on the beach, in the forest or just outside anywhere; closely exploring things like tide pools and insects or flowers and plants. And I am introverted, I like being alone; reading, writing, singing, dancing or just thinking to myself. When it comes to being with my favorite people, I'm pretty easy going and will be happy doing anything just to share time together. Road trips are a lot of fun, too! And I love spending time with my nieces and nephews.10. What are five things that you "can't live without?" a. b. c. d. e. 11. Describe the last book that you read and enjoyed. What was it about? What did you like most about it? "Becoming the Woman of His Dreams" (haha just kidding, I'll read that one soon, I promise) I recently read the Zion Legacy Series by Brock and Bodie Thoene. I cannot possibly describe those books in a couple sentences. If you are interested in a fictionalized, suspense and action filled history of the city of Jerusalem and the jewish people, you will really enjoy these books.12. Describe one thing about yourself that only your best friends know. That to the best that I am aware of each day, I am who I say I am. I won't become anything I am not for any person. I can say no and I can say yes. (I haven't always been this way.) The downside to my growing confidence in who I am becoming, is that I am very particular on who and what I invest myself in. At times, I think I miss opportunities to be a servant to some need that I overlook. But I'm not ashamed to back track once I realize an error in my ways.13. Is there any additional information you would like your matches to know about you? I no longer believe that chemistry must be shared at the first meeting and would rather not have that initial spark in return for the kind of chemistry that builds and bubbles and recreates itself over time. It is a priority for me to improve my physical health and I desire a match who is either already living a healthy lifestyle or who genuinely is ready to take charge of those necessary steps with me. I want to be able to chase my grandkids all over Disney in 30 years! I love Salem, Oregon...but I'm open to wherever God leads.

Thank you for your time and comments!

Great profile!

The only thing I'd change are answers in Question 2
I'd say there are a little too long. And I would avoid saying that you are in the process of losing weight. That's none of anyone's business, and you say enough about healthy lifestyle in the last section.

Good Luck!

6. What is the most important quality that you are looking for in another person?

The best friend part is good, I would add a quality / characteristic, not just relationship to you

A best friend. If you are one of my best friends, then the other most important qualities will fall into place.

I cannot remember an age when I have not received comments about my "beautiful smile." I blushed every time I heard those words when I was a girl. That is kind of an appearance thing, though isn't it? Well, when someone new meets me, it doesn't take very long for them to notice that I am deeply introspective. I like the " I'm reserved, but can relax theme, good, however think of rewording a bit, leave out "insecure", for example.

I'm less secure in face to face situations when I'm first getting to know new people, but my awkwardness is just an initial phase. You wait and see me once I warm up, baby!9. How do you typically spend your leisure time?

Oops! "anything
just to share time", might want to reword this, could be read wrong way

For 12 & 13:
Please leave out the "who I am becoming" theme, let us know who you are now. The work on yourself theme, interestingly, appears in many womens profiles. What if a guy said : "I am trying to get a better job" ? See?.. it doesn't come across well to the reader.

That to the best that I am aware of each day, I am who I say I am. I won't become anything I am not for any person. I can say no and I can say yes. (I haven't always been this way.) The downside to my growing confidence in who I am becoming, is that I am very particular on who and what I invest myself in.
