Glad someone has answered my question, thank you! In the future if I don't feel I match their needs, in response to "You have a great smile" I will close them out. As a new member you can't judge me as a "psycho bunny boiler" because I wanted to communicate that I was flattered and thank him for his compliment but that "I did not foresee moving to (his country to become a (his religion)" otherwise he seemed like a sweet man according to his profile and closing him out seemed heartless (yes believe it or not). He wrote back that I was a Blah blah blah... and I realized HE was psycho. And just because I gave him a closing message to confound him, I am the discussion board villain?

[quote=Wonderwoman402;706679] His closing for not being interested because of statements in your profile is actually spot-on according to the way you described how you didn't meet his specific criteria, so I don't see what you're so upset about.

There's no need for all the snarky retorts and trying to get him to reopen just so you can close him.

Thanks again for being the only one to really answer my question.
You all misunderstand though, I did not send the closing message to try to get him to re-open just so I could close it, (although thinking about it now I guess that is an obvious assumption) it was just a quick and silly retort. Not a calculated ego trip. And I don't know exactly how to be snarky.... Had he just closed me out then I would not have gotten "upset", but his supposed reason implies- as you do, that he was not interested in me based on my profile, which is his right, then why did he send me the ice breaker? Just to be nice? That's what I thought, so I tried to be nice back. ??? After sending him a response to essentially thank him he did what I was attempting to avoid, he was heartless.

What does upset me, as new user I am here putting myself out there to improve my chances of finding someone to care about and the people who are "veterans" and offering "help" label me Fatal Attraction?? Nice.

Why not?

And no, you are not the villain, you've been confounded as the prankster instead. How does that sound?
