I got an email from a stranger, she said she got my info from eharmony and even sent a photo.I swear I've never been matched with this woman before, so she must got my email from somewhere, as she claimed, from eharmony maybe.

I'm wondering did anyone else gets similiar emails and did eharmony release my personal info?

Yes. eHarmony has violated my rights to confidentiality twice that I know of.

1) They sent me a mailing via USPS which clearly identified me as an eH subscriber. I had stopped receiving matches, as I had begun a relationship. I got my mail when my SO was with me and he saw it...he assumed I was still actively looking, and it led to issues of distrust that ultimately resulted in our breakup.

2) BEFORE eH offered a free magazine subscription w/ membership, eH gave or sold my information to Glamour Magazine. I started receiving their mag in the mail, and the scantily clad women on the cover were offensive to me as a conservative, and were distressing to my children who have been taught modesty. We were also offended by headlines about cover stories on sexual topics. I did NOT request this magazine, nor did I give eH permission to send it to me. The name used for delivery was a nickname that I had ONLY used on eH, so it's easy to figure out who harrassed us with these unwelcome magazines.

I, too have gotten a strange email from someone who also sent a picture ( I didn't look at it..not even sure it was male or female). All I know is it was weird, sounded like a scammer, and they said they got my email from eharmony.com and they called it a website with a group of "acquaintences" so I know it was this site and not eharmony.

Then I blew it off thinking it was just a scammer who uses that line....now I'm not so sure. I will be very ticked if they are leaking my private email. That is so wrong on many different levels. My private email contains my first and last name.

first time for me too

basically what kind of women she's looking for, with her picture.

I tried so hard to look for an eligible man on eharmony with no vain, now suddenly I start to find women's email and photo in my mailbox... is this another philosophy of eharmony or they really have nothing to do with it?

treeye...me too. My post is being modded. It was very very strange. I don't give that email to anyone here, and it was from this site (I could tell by what they wrote) and not the regular dating site.

here it is: (yes, I think it is a scam and would LOVE to know where they got my email, which includes my first and last name)

"Hi, I'm Yana.
How are you today! I have seen you in a site of acquaintances eharmony. com and it sounded great.
I'm very open and truthful about my life. You can ask me ANYTHING and I'll answer from the heart.
A little about me, I am 26 years old. I love to laugh and have a good
time. I try to take life to seriously, please note I did say "try". I
usually work 6 days a week, but I do like to travel. I have been to many
places around the world. I look for someone who respects themselves in
the way they dress and act. Who is supportive, loyal, likes to laugh and
have fun. Also, it's not really a quality, but i would like to be
physically attracted to her as well. I send you a photo, I hope that to
you to like. I wait for the answer, Yana."

I keep getting modded....really frustrating. I guess I can't say certain words, so I can't say what I want to say...really frustrating. Anyway, did the email look like this?
