So I was browsing through the pictures of my matches one night. I found myself puzzled by this same reoccurring "thing" - guys posting pictures of themselves and their ex girlfriends with captions, too.
"Me and my Ex!"

To me, it's a turnoff. What's the point?

What do you think?

Tacky. At least crop them out. I also don't understand "photos with friends." What if you're more attracted to the "friends" than you are to them?

Totally inappropriate but I've seen worse. Some guys have actually erased or chopped off heads (thanks to photoshop) of their ex girlfriends. An easier solution would be to take a recent photo - alone!

Keeping a picture of your ex is like holding onto a record player you used to play that no longer works; you know it's time to move on to other options yet you're still hanging onto something that doesn't work anymore and while it might bring back lots of memories, it can't be repaired.

I was at my sister's house over the weekend and was checking out her matches on POF. One of her matches had his picture with a gal and he just covered her eyes with blackout!

But women do some of the same things too - don't think the men have the market cornered for that.

Couldn't he find a better picture?

Keeping a picture of your ex is one thing - we all have those memories we hold onto and want to be reminded every now and again of the good times those relationships brought.

Posting that picture in your profile on a dating site, though? That's just tacky. Why would I want to date someone who is throwing their ex in my face before we've even started getting to know each other? Even if that wasn't the intention, that's how it looks to me.
