Oh passat1, neardc and Gr8Guy, what would happen to eHarmony Advice if you wonderful people quit eHarmony?

Despite what news says about how OD is surging while the stock market is crashing, as OD users we don't feel it at all, do we?

The fact is that Alexa, Compete and Quan tcast all say that 2009 eHarmony sit e traffic has fallen around 10% compared to the same months last year (ignoring the usual free weekend surges).

So did Match.

However, the 2009 free weekends brought around the same amount of traffic compared to 2008.

Conclusion:

eHarmony's business is and will be slow in 2009, and I would like to believe that they are doing all they can to lower prices so that the free weekenders can join and communicate. It's up to each of us to stay and support the site, or leave and return to it when everybody else has.

I've sent a lot of guys first questions. Rarely do I hear back from a person. I don't know who all is a paying member- but if I hear from them during a "free weekend" I know they don't pay...

I give guys one month to respond to my questions, some look at my profile, don't choose to answer the quesitons, but don't close me either.

I wish that guys that are not interested will just close me right away instead of leaving me hanging...

I have signed on for my second 3 month membership in June. I get about 5 matches a day. Some are non-payers some just are afraid to close so I usually do it for them. I have been to Open Comm. with 4 people including 1 I made it to today.

What about the people who are a paying member, you talk to them for awhile, and then they just stop all communication but still don't close you....

I am not a fan of that... either keep communicating or close if I said something you didn't like!

I was overwhelmed with matches that went NO WHERE. Just emails and phone calls. I had a lot of matches but it seemed to anything and anyone and it was too overwhelming for me.

I WILL NEVER RENEW. Also I believe that they are owned by Match.com or another agency like that.

I know someone who has been on match.com and NEVER gets matched at all and has no reason to not be matched. It's worse than Eharmony.

Eharmony was gift given to me and I'm glad for it but it expired yesterday and I have nothing to show for it but some horror stories
