Trying to tell subscribers from non-subscribers?

I'm with everyone else as far as being frustrated about being matched to non-subscribers that I can't really communicate with. Now, if they have that RelyID symbol or Premium Personality Profile symbol next to their names, that means they're subscribers, right? Because those things cost $. Can anyone think of any other ways to tell whether someone's a paying customer? Or telltale signs that they are not? If someone's gone to the trouble to post, like, 10 photos, does that necessarily mean that he's a subscriber? Thanks for your help!

Multiple photos is a good sign of a subscriber. Same with a completed profile. On the flip side, a lack of photos combined with an incomplete profile is almost a sure sign of someone that is non-paying.

Once again, I'll put in my plug for eHarmony to add something to indicate paying status or at least log-in status. I think I can speak for a lot of subscribers that we get tired of being matched with non-payers. As always, this plea will pretty much fall on deaf ears because it goes against the business model for eHarmony.

Eharmony is one of the highest charging on line sites yet they sent matches of people that are non-existant. This is a high price to pay for something that doesn't work. This was probably done because the pool of paying members was too small. Go to the free sites and give up your anonymity.

Yes I agree. I have looked at chemistry.com and you cannot even look at matches if you are not paying. I have only paid for three months because I just cannot afford to keep paying because the price is too high. But yes, they definetly need to distinguish who is paying and who isn't. It makes you feel worthless when you make attempts to communicate and you get no responses.

What are the free sites? All ones I have checked you have to pay. Even yahoo personals you have to pay.

Not necessarily the Rely ID or Premium profile means you are seeing a paid member. If you purchase these extra services, but after your membership expires and you dont renew it, those marks will still be displayed to your profile, creating the false idea you trying to reach a paid member.

There is no sure way to tell if a match is a paying member or not. RelyID and Premium Personality Profile are good signs they are but not foolproof. Having several photos and a complete and well thought out profile are good signs also but, again, not foolproof. I have had matches with no photo and little in their profile that did communicate. If they view your profile then that is a sign that they are at least alive though not necessarily a paying member.

The only thing you can really do is send First Questions to every match that you have any interest in and hope for a reply. When a Free Communication Weekend comes around then send nudges to those who have not responded and after the FCW close out any that never responded.

It does not make me feel worthless. I look at it as that just don't know what they have missed out on

Maybe we could start a trend by putting "paid member" at the end of the last questions. Perhaps, if people keep seeing that, they'll use it, too.

(Of course, this could cause non-payers to start putting that down, too, just to be idiots)
