"Icebreakers are not available at this time."

It's been saying this for several weeks straight.

I was hoping to send someone an icebreaker to get their attention before the free weekend was over. We had started trading questions and answers a month ago (he communicated first) and I've been waiting for the next free weekend to continue with this person.

I asked this question here at the beginning of the free weekend, but no one replied.

Now it's almost over.

if you have a problem with EH, you have to contact customer care on the actual E harmony site. starting a thread here may not get noticed right away by the Admins.

Hi Knowingjesus,

Sorry to hear this. Did you by any chance contact our Customer Care team as Scarlet13 mentioned? They are available around the clock through this link: http://help-singles.eharmony.com/

I don’t know whether or not you are paying member. But the good news is that since this is a Free Communication Weekend, non-paying members can use the Guided Communication, so the Icebreakers would be a plus, but all members get access to all the communication steps and can go forward into Open Communication.

Good luck, I do hope that gets fixed soon.

Thanks guys, for your replies.

I went to the link you supplied, but it was just "frequently asked questions"--I couldn't find any place to contact EH or talk to anyone.

I found the email for EH Customer Care on google and emailed them earlier this evening (4 hours ago). They haven't replied yet.

I'm afraid it's too late anyway. Even if I sent an icebreaker to the person by the time the probably is fixed, he probably wouldn't see it and have time to continue any communication in time before the free weekend is over. (

When will the next free weekend be?

Hi Knowingjesus,

I’m glad you let us know; the information you got from google may be invalid; Customer Care primarily receives e-mails through the FAQ link.

The FAQs page actually will provide a way for you to send a message to our Customer Care team. If you click on the category that describes your concern, at the bottom of the page you will see an e-mail link to click on. For example, here is a link from the Technical category answering a question about Icebreakers. It doesn’t seem to answer your question, so you can send your e-mail at the bottom: Why is my Icebreaker being returned? Once your inquiry is sent, make sure you follow through with getting an “Incident Number” to make sure it was received by our team. If you have an Incident Number, you should hear from us within 24 hours.

All the best,

~Kate

Thanks for your response, Kate.

Actually, it was the right email, but eHarmony finally responded to my query at 12:30 am--so the free weekend was over. (((((

Tomorrow I will send them more information about my account (as requested) so they can fix the icebreaker problem.

When is EH planning on doing another free weekend? You could email me the answer privately (injesus@mailc.net). I've been waiting so long to continue with this person...
