Have you ever met anyone as a result of the free weekend?

To me the free communication weekend is totally pointless.
1) The non-paying members can't see your pics so why would they write to you if they don't know what you look like.
2) Its a free communication WEEKEND. Nobody ever communitcates over the weeken anyway, because they don't want to look like losers.

Not yet, but I have only been around for one free weekend thus far. Looking forward to the matches I will get this weekend. Assuming I will get some.

No and wouldn't want to. No picture, maybe looking for quick hook-up, and paying members are send to them as "matches" - enticements to join up. No free lunch here, just a lot of "new matches" junk .

I was just married as a result of meeting someone during the free weekend offer. It obviously worked for me and can certainly work for someone else.

My first free weekend was when I was a paid subscriber. I got all kinds of kooks that weekend. During last month's freebie (I am no longer a subscriber) I hooked up with two previous matches whom I made it to OC with then exchanged e-mail addresses. I e-mailed photos to both and no replies from either. I don't believe I received many (if any) new matches. Now I am confused because eH sent me an e-mail a while back telling me there were 5 matches in my area who "wanted to get to know me". I recently received one new match and when I clicked on "find new matches" it came up blank.

My eH home page tells me I have my limit of matches and I must view them all before I received more. I have viewed every single one of them! I was going to close them out one by one but decided not to waste my time. . .

I first started EH on a free weekend and, since looks aren't my #1 priority, I decided to take advantage of the matches I was sent, responded to about 10 of them with first questions. Not seeing the picture wasn't a negative for me.
2 of the men I communicated with were also on free weekends and 2 were actual members.
I decided to go ahead and join at the discounted rate because I was impressed with the number of matches I got.
I am presently dating 2 men I met on the free weekend-thats the good thing.
OTOH, I am dismayed at the matches I have received since I signed up. I know that a high percentage of them are not members and thus are a waste of time to communicate with..I think this is a real rip-off for members.
I won't be re subscribing here-I get better results from Yahoo personals for less money.
