Seriously, I'd look at those settings. Some of these discussions are about long-distance romances. I asked one person why they don't just make their distance 30mi for instance. The answer was that in almost a year out of 700 Matches, only 4 were within 30miles.

There's another thread in here that people who Don't Drink get fewer Matches also. So take a look at all your settings...

The don't drink thing is wrong. What will restrict your matches is if you have your match settings for "please indicate the most that you would accept that your ideal match drink" set to "never" and the importance at 7. I have don't drink on my profile and the match settings on once a week (importance 7) and have had no shortage of matches, even with distance settings limited to 30 miles.

Wow, that is crazy. Do you happen to live in a rural area? What are your age settings? Based on my experience most of my matches lived in a city and were in their late 20s to mid 30s (I was 30 during my time on eH and my final age settings were 22-40). So if you loosen up your distance and age then maybe you'll have more luck. I'd also double check just to make sure there's nothing glaring in your match settings which would limit your potential match pool.

Not anything more wrong with you that with me and I am pretty comfortable with who I am even if the girls are not. I consider it to be their loss.

Seems to me that you may need an attitude adjustment.

What age range do you have yours set at? I am 25 and mine is 24-33 and I get a steady 7-9 a day plus if I hit find new matches every other day it ususally spits me out a couple more.

Also I have mine set a 300 miles with somewhat importance
I HATE smokers but I have mine put on "a few times a year" because some guys like to smoke cigars..I get it

and the drinking thing the only one that bothers me is "several times a day"

Yeah, longer for me. I think the well ran dry in this area. We're probably sinking down to those matches who have 15 of the 29 dimensions (or less) in common. Either that or my perfect match is waiting in a queue on the eH server just waiting until my subscription is about to expire before sending it to me.

But seriously, no matches whatsoever? I look at my settings too and wonder if I should change them, but then think, why should I compromise on my happiness? I don't want to settle. If I want someone who doesn't drink or doesn't smoke I think I deserve that much. Maybe I am too picky, but I know what I like and want and I shouldn't have to compromise that.

There's someone for everyone. Thank you, I'll wait.

well thanks for the feedbacks but I dont think changing my settings will help.
I basically told the questionnaire i would accept a alcoholic or chain smoker even though i had no interest in smoking or drinking. why would i change it and lie about who i am. only thing i could change is distance. but my country is far enough i dont want to go international. as for age i had the distance of 5-10 years in my opinion already too much. I have no interest in someone who is old enough to be my mother.


not sure this will work out. ive learned a lot about why i haven't been successful and why i haven't gotten into "the game" yet. maybe when im 40 eh
