I realized later that some matches were inactive because the people weren't paid members.

They just sat there.

What is the point of being a member of EH unless you are an actual paid member?

If you can't respond to matches, doesn't that defeat the whole purpose?

I had one match who literally sat there for months until I closed her out.

The commercials don't tell people that you need to be a paid member to enjoy any real benefit from the site.

Recently one of the EH Hosts to EHA asked for suggestions on improving the EH experience. It was near universal that the members want non-members flagged.

If it doesn't happen I'm not re subscribing. I totally resent being the paying carrot on the end of the stick for EH benefit....and it really bummed me out at first before I realized that the people I was interested in couldn't write back or weren't even reading EH anymore.
I met one of these men on another site and we both agreed that EH is not supportive of members.

I am new to EH and I am a non paying member.
I am being very cautious as to how I invest my money because I have never had to pay talk to anyone and I have been many other sites.

I am still on the fence because I am not sure if it's worth paying $60.00 a month to chat with someone who I am not sure if I will be physically attracted to (not being able to see their pics). I am also worried that If I do pay I will end being dissappointed (like the other posts that I have read) that I can not communicate with the people I'm interested in because they are non member.

The first time I tried eH a few years ago, I wasn't a paid member and that was really a reflection of how serious I was about finding someone special or at least friends through their services.

This time around I'm more committed and serious about it so I paid. Although I'm not ecstatic about the small amount of actual communication, I'm learning to deal with it. The way I figure it is if I'm meant to make a connection with someone here...I will.

Something I really believe eH should offer to their non members is the ability to COMPLETELY review their matches for free. What I mean is what's the use of letting someone see their match's profile if they can't see the picture that goes along with it? Personally, I think that has the potential to boost subscriptions because if someone finds their match attractive then they may just go ahead and fork over the money to get to talk to that person.

No way would EH allow that. But for the opposite reason.

If those first 5 or so Matches are plain butt ugly, then those people are going to run away so fast your head will spin. The EH has no chance of getting the $$$.

No, by not letting non-paying members see Photos, there is a better chance that that person will eventually end up paying, because there is always the CHANCE that one of those matches are HOT, versus having the knowledge that all of those matches are NOT.

Besides, you know very well, if EH actually DID allow non-paying members to see Photos of the, say the first 5 matches, EH would just purposely push the good looking ones to the front to "sucker" the non-paying member into paying.

LOL!! Of course! But I don't think that's any different than what they're doing now with their marketing. The "HOTTIES" are still matches after all.
