April 12th I reactivated my account after a year break. I was a little hesitant to redo the questionnaire because I've been very happy with my matching and the types of matching, however curiosity got the best of me so I asked for a reset so I could do a questionnaire.

I'm really regretting having done that. Of the 5 years I've been on EH I've never had this little of activity or reduction in either females initiating conversation or not responding at all. Its striking.

I'm beside myself. Perhaps I've changed somewhat personality wise in the last year, however I wouldn't have imagined this much of a change. I don't know if EH can revert me back to my previous setting, but WOW, this is incredibly discouraging.

The matching seems almost completely different. The types of matches I'm getting don't really jive with my personality, that's the part that really amazed me. I'm half thinking my matches may feel the same way because there just isn't any desire or compunction to initiate conversation. Its just weird.

I'd recommend contacting Customer Care. See if you can redo the personality test. Plus they might have suggestions to help you out.

Did you by any chance print out or save your previous Personality Profile to compare with the one generated when you just re-took the Questionnaire?

Nope. They are going to allow me to reset.

I’m really glad to hear that, Buzzweaver. I hope it makes a big difference. Keep in touch with the Customer Care department or contact me or Renee. If the pattern continues after you retake the Relationship Questionnaire, there could be a different reason for the striking change that you experienced. Hopefully this will resolve it, though!

Wow. I had this exact same thing happen, but when I contacted eharmony customer care, I was told that I could not retake the personality profile, that eharmony's process is unique, blahblahblah, and when I wrote in again, my request was ignored.

My matches were SO much better on my first personality profile, it's night & day.

I was getting all these terrific matches, almost daily, with requests for communication every single day. I felt like I was The Bachelorette, with all these great guys!

Then I re-took the personality profile one day, and the next day, the matches were awful. And have continued to be awful. I've been closed out almost immediately by almost every one, which indicates that they think the matching is awful too.

I decided to close matching altogether, which makes me mad, because I feel like I've wasted all this $. And all these great guys are not getting matched with me...

I re-took the questionnaire and within a few hours I was getting matches and contacts. Amazing.

I read this thread and it motivated me to redo my profile (which was probably done a couple of years ago from an old subscription.) I felt I had changed over time and my personality profile results reflected that. I immediately got new matches. Too new to see what comes of it. It has to better than what it was before though!
