If you make a change in your profile....
does it always inform all your matches you did that? I would like to make small changes, like add/delete a photo or reword a sentence, but don't want everyone to know I'm doing that. I'm new to EH and obviously my profile needs tweeking here and there, but I'm hesitant to do so because it might look like I cant make up my mind. Why do I get notices when someone updates their profile?

They know when you make changes. Same as you know when they do. Until you close them or they close you. New & Communicating Matches get the notices until they are Closed

You can turn off your Matches, let the existing ones be Closed, & then do your updates before turning back on your Matches.

I don't know any other way.

Really? Grrr....that is annoying. Now I am afraid to make any changes anymore! What's weird is that one guy added photos to his profile but it never alerted me...so what's with that? Is it selective?

j0hn8andy may be correct, don't know.

However, I would just go ahead and make any changes to your profile that you want. Actually having your matches notified when you make a change has the advantage of keeping your profile in front of them.

I never have considered that any of my matches who made changes to their profile was not able to make up their mind. I just look at as they are tweaking their profile to try and put their best foot forward.

You know the Match Updates on your My Home page? One guy did his profile & it stayed at the very top of the Match Updates until I Closed him a couple weeks later. Match Updates said his profile was updated & that was ALL it said. It didn't even show any of the new matches! They were there in My Matches, but they didn't show on the Match Updates...

It was VERY irritating!

Once I Closed him, everything was back to normal.
