Oh man,

Why, oh WHY, does EH time out email sessions, and leave you NO WAY to get back when you typed in before they timed you out???

I just spent a good HOUR (which is why it timed out), typing in a long, well thought out email to one of my Matches...

Only to Click on "Send" and get an Authentication (timeout) error...

This would be fine, if it would REMEMBER my email text, and prompt me for my username/password again, and then put me back where I was, with my text intact...

But NO, it just tosses away the WHOLE EMAIL, leaving you with nothing but an hour of wasted time, and no idea of where to start retyping the email again....

PLEASE, EH, for the love of God, change this to SAVE the email text when asking for Authentication again after a timeout.

So sorry to hear Scott. Yeap, we all learn the hard way.
I actually have an editor in a second window, type up my message and then cut and paste. That way you still have a copy for your records and you never loose your work.

I would like if one could send mail and receive mail without logging into the site. It used to be like that eons ago.

Keep at it

Lav
(BTW after I lost a long e-mail, I would quickly send a one liner telling them I lost it, that way they know you are interested and that you will write later, maybe they'll ofer you their e-mail address)

ScottK…sorry to hear it. What a major frustration!!

Indeed, the time-out feature was designed a long time ago in order to protect our members’ billing and dating life information. Many of our members, for example, log in to eHarmony at a shared or public computer.

From what your post, it sounds like you already know this, though. I’ve already passed your feedback along regarding having it save the information, log you out, and prompt you with a username and password. However, at this time no plans are in place to implement a feature like that.

So, LavenderFields has the right idea. Maybe in rewriting your message it will come out better than the first one, I hope.

Sincerely,

~Kate
