Hi,
Just wanted to send out some questions and get some stories from eharmony's Canadian users. I just wanted to know how long people (from Canada and had their distance setting set to only get matches within Canada) were on eharmony before they found someone.

For obvious reasons, since the US has so many more people, I got more matches when I included the US in my distance setting than if I just had Canada however I have been in a long distance relationship with an American before and I don't want to do that again (due to immigration/travel issues).

Any timelines, stories, experience from Canadian users would be great!

Thanks!

Use eHarmony Dating as one of the tools to meet people. There are a lot of Canadian 'regulars' on these forums and a lot of relationships have started here. But people aren't going to be attracted to an empty profile so do yourself a favor and fill out your profile with as much information as you're comfortable with as well as adding some pictures and see how it goes.

Dear christina72800,

While you await responses from fellow Canadian members, if you haven't already done so, I encourage you to take a look at the section of our Success Stories site dedicated to successful Canadian couples: http://www.eharmony.com/success/stories/canada.
Perhaps some of their stories willl include details about their search which you'll find interesting and helpful.

Also, it is understandable that the challenges you encountered with a previous "international" relationship would make you less inclined to enter into another. However, I do want to share that many eHarmony couples successfully overcame those challenges and found love with someone from another country: http://www.eharmony.com/success/stories/international.

While we will be doing our best to send you highly-compatible matches within Canada, I hope that, should you receive a very interesting match from the U.S., our successful International couples will inspire you to be open to the possibilities.

All the best,

-Renee

There are guys in Toronto (maybe I should say GTA) that are on eHarmony.

I have heard your disdain for dating US guys based on the same immigration reasons. It pains me that you Canadian women feel that way as I personally know that this problem can be overcome. Friends, Canadian girl American (Florida) guy, LDR turned in to marriage, girl immigrated to US.
