What is it about your match that you dislike so much that you want to block them? I don't think I've ever bothered to go back and look at matches I've closed/have closed me, so I can't imagine they'd be all that interested in hanging around after rejection either.

If you think it's a real problem, I'd contact customer support.

I know of no setting that will allow you to block your profile from certain matches. I, too, would suggest that you contact eHarmony support and request that they remove you from being matched with that particular match.

Hi Megan_Texas,

It is correct that beyond closing a match and moving the match to your Closed Matches page, there’s not a way to block a match’s profile through your eHarmony account. If you are concerned about a match for any reason, however, the best thing to do is to contact our Match Concerns department at matchconcerns@eharmony.com with the name, location, and reason for concern. You may also mention your desire to have them removed from your My Matches page and why.

To improve your overall experience with eHarmony, we recommend contacting our Customer Care team to make sure your settings and profile are maximized for the best chances of success: http://help-singles.eharmony.com/

All the best,

Kate

Personally, I think it is stupid that you can't block a user from viewing your profile. For whatever reason, you don't want someone to see your profile, the changes you make, your photographs etc ... then it is your choice. I think is faulty design to have omitted this important functionality.

Similary, there isn't much control in determining who sees your profile and what part of your profile they are allowed to see and when. I think these basic principles of social networking should be incorporated somehow.

This is not a social networking site. This is not Facebook, nor Myspace. If you want a social networking site, go join them.

This is a dating site. There is a certain amount of give and take. When you join, you are giving up some of your privacy so that EHarmony can match you to people they deem compatible with you.
If you are offended by this, perhaps online dating just isn't going to be your thing.

What is so wrong with the person that you want them blocked? Did he wish you good luck or something?

Just FYI...The OP hasn't posted since May (and this was her only post on eHA), so chances are she won't see your question...
