Hi Everyone,

Yes, we will be having a Free Communication Weekend (FCW) this Friday, May 22, till Monday, May 25. Our FCW's are a great opportunity for our members to meet even more highly-compatible matches, and successful matches have occurred over FCW's!

Try going directly to OC if your really interested or just want to find out about them. Does it work ? Did for me. I put my profile up with the intention of paying a week later,then had to wait 3 months. Apologies to anyone that may have inconvinienced Even though, paying or not,I've gotten nowhere both times I have been paying.Oc a few times but nothing else........Yeah,Must Be Me !!! LOL

I let my membership run out a couple of weeks ago (because they double billed my cc) and they won't let me sign in for the free weekend! What's with that?

Only a paying member can view photos even during a FCW. However anyone can post photos. If you are a non-paying member and are communicating with a paying member during a FCW they can see what ever photos you have posted while you cannot see whatever photos they have posted.

Once you get to the point of exchanging personal e-mail addresses you can then have them send you a photo.

Not everyone travels on holiday weekends. As a matter of fact I will always try and avoid traveling on a holiday weekend.

I am a paying member and have communicated with several non-paying matches on FCWs in the past. I have met a couple of them and while it did not work out in the long term it was not because they were non-paying Free Communication Weekenders it was simply that we were not the correct ones for each other.

I first got on eH when a friend called to tell me about the free weekend. There was something wrong with the site that night and I kept getting timed out each time after completing several pages of answers. I did not know when I finished that I had to be a paid subscriber to see photos. When a paid subscriber contacted me, I became one myself and then found she had a hidden photo! [She was obviously grandfathered in for that option.] She did oblige with a photo and eventually we got to OC although the times in between messages were nothing like the short intermissions between GC. I eventually had to close her for the final time - with regret - because I could not understand her reasoning for being too busy to respond too often. Why someone is too busy to respond when someone is paying for a service for a limited amount of time is a topic for another thread and obviously there may have been other reasons. Going back to the original topic, I might never have joined eH without someone contacting me first on the free weekend.
