Well...


I think my matches are all dried up. I haven't got any matches for a few days. Obviously eHarm and other dating sites bode better for those who live in densly populated areas. It's a numbers game.


Me...?


I live in a town with 150k people about two hours from Chicago and 2 hours from Madison. So, unless I increase my search radius; I'll be somewhat limited. I';ve had about 100 matches in a month. We'll see what happens...


So, what's the population in your area?

I live in Houston (pop. approx. 2 million), so I've had no problems with evaporating dating pools. I can't imagine how it must be living in a sparsely-populated area as a single person. That is one of the big reasons I prefer to live in cities.If I get married again, I'd like to leave cities (but live within shouting distance to take advantage of professional/cultural/social opportunities).

I live in Pittsburgh and have my settings at below 30 miles. I had 70 matches during my one month membership. I can't complain...

I live in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area (whatever the population of that is). Still, I'm getting roughly the same number of matches that you are (i.e., @100/month). They don't come daily, though; more like in little bunches a couple of times a week...


I've got my "distance" option set fairly low, though. Since I am in such a densely populated area, I figure I should be able to find a good match within 50 miles or so (plus, I can barely manage to review the matches I do receive; many more and I would just be overwhelmed...).

15OK and two hours from Chicago? Thats scary if your dating pool dried up.


I'm 11/2 hours from Reno in an area where the entire county is 50,000. The problem, here inthis town of 9000, all the the choices are 30 year olds whose lives has been turned upside down by disastrous marriages or relationshipswhichleft them sour on life and angry.I've had to chip myself out of several blocks of ice, afterwards,whileintroducing myself to them! And I'm getting tired of carryingthis lead ball in my gut because of it.


Most matches that I do recieve are over an hour thirty away so I stay picky..... especailly during winter travel months!

2 million in metropolitan Vegas, a little under 300,000 of them in my town.


All of them freaks and weirdos, from what I've dated.

Another beltway person, how exciting! : ) I get about the same number, maybe a few more as my distance is a bit longer than yours - typically, if someone is within an hour's drive without traffic. Now, how do you like the men you have gone out with in this area?

I haven't indulged in any matches since my subscription lapsed in September, but I was getting a little more. I got an average of 6 to 7 matches a day. But i set everything not important in my matches, and all my matches was pretty much between Baltimore and Northern Virgnia. I'll get a few smatterings of matches outside as far as Frederick, Leesburg or Annapolis. Near the end, i started getting less matches, only 2 or 3.


As for dates, I was juggling many of them until i settled down in a exclusive relationship.
