How to close a match cordially has been debated on this discussion board for a loong time. Fact of the matter is some people will take a close as no big deal and others will be offended because they take rejection personally no matter how nice the rejection is worded.

I'm new at this.  I'm a Geminim 67 years old, 2 kids, 3 grandkids.  I think the free communication weekend is a come-on.  There are those of us who live on a fixed income, so we really can't participate in memberships.  $50 is a lot of money when you have to buy food, medicine, pay utilities and feed your pets.  There were a couple gentlemen that I was interested in but didn't know how to take advantage of the free communication weekends.  How do you know that these men are being honest with their backrounds and that their not married.?  I think I'm goiong to drop out  of EHarmony as I don't trust it. Thank you,  Cookie__2

LOVE this idea! I asked a question on this board last week. I prefer emails. I can't stand those stupid ice breakers or the 40 questions. It's a waste of time and besides, they are not the questions I would want to ask!

thanks! I agree- we should have a choice. Is this option available now?
