My assessment is that the personality profile uses several questions to screen out liars and depressives...

What do you mean by that?

The first time I used eH I completed the questionnaire and got the result “you are in a small portion of the population our matching does not work for.” (I’m paraphrasing – it was five+ years ago.) This is not a logical thing for a corporation to do, unless it decided to attempt to screen certain people out.

So I did it again, paying careful attention to the questions. One I remember was “do you always obey the speed limit?” I figured that a question like this is likely to be a technique to “catch” liars – on the premise that everyone speeds, at least sometimes.

Further, I once made an attempt to think through a model of the number of eH customers I would be matched with in my search radius, in comparison to how many were on Match, and I decided that eH could not be matching on personality (excepting those who got flagged out or were too impatient to complete the questionnaire.)

Lastly, the women I met and corresponded with did not exhibit any differences in personality than the women met from Match.

So, um, were you a liar or a depressive?

And, um - are you all better now?

And - hmmm -- if you can beat the system, can't everyone else?

Sure they can – but they have to be able to figure it, and take the time to.

If I am correct, I would have designed the process differently. Many people, especially young people in urban centers, do not own cars; others have impaired mobility / vision / cognition and compensate with caution; others may be afraid of getting a ticket they cannot afford.

Even if I am right, I still like the eH system. On public dating sites like Match, women are so inundated by e-mail from men that they ignore nearly all of it; while men get their messages ignored so much that they take a “mass” approach and e-mail all the women, waiting for one to bite.

But I gotta tell ya if thats all the matches they have within 30 miles I won't be signing up for real. Eight guys I sent questions to 3 of them. And I can't see their pictures. Can they see mine? Does anyone believe that personality test thing is an accurate reflection of themselves? It sure takes forever to fill it out.

eH only sends a certain number per day. I turned on my matching yesterday, received 6 matches yesterday and 6 today.

If you are on a free trial, you cannot see pictures but a paying member can see your pictures.
If you go into your own info. and pick PHOTOS, you do get to choose when they see your photos--under multiple choices you pick one such as after sharing MUST HAVES AND CAN'T STANDS. I thought this might help! And it's for free this weekend to communicate but then you have to sign up. I haven't done that either yet.

OK I am still communicating with 3 guys. But it is slow. I doubt I am going to make it to open communcation by Sunday at midnight when I turn into a pumpkin. Too bad ... there is this one guy but then again if he was really interested he'd hurry up and answer stuff right?

Oh and apparently you cannot do fast track if you are just using a free weekend.

The clock ticks on. They EH is not getting my $60 bucks when time is up even if the one guy I am actually intersted in does not make it to open communication.

Updates to follow.

I don't mind if they see my photos. I want them to, but I wish that I could see their photos too I don't look forward to cutting off communication with someone AFTER I see their photos. It seems mean.
