My subscription recently ended and I have been a but put out with eH so I didn't resubscribe. I got the e-mail about it being a free comm weekend, so I hopped on to see if there was anyone worth communicating with. But in doing so I just discovered that while I can now answer others' questions, I am not allowed to send questions or initiate communication unless I re-subscribe.

What's the deal? Only newbies can utilize free weekends?

Same deal for me here.......sent a fast tract and was taken to the 'subscribe now!" wt........
You cannot do fast track, only guided communication on free weekends (if you are non-paying).

The sad part if even if you do get a match that goes through OC, they may still be a "decoy"--ie someone that corresponds in an effort to deceive, or perhaps entice you to continue your subscription. Seems to be several decoys out there.

Dear Amsterdam,

I regret to hear that you believe there are "decoy" matches on eHarmony. I want to assure you that all matches received by our members are individuals, like yourself, who have successfully completed the Relationship Questionnaire and indicated on their profile that they wish to receive matches and that all communications are between actual eHarmony members. We ask members to be courteous to one another, and I regret if the behavior on the part of a member(s) has caused you be believe otherwise.

Sincerely,

-Renee
