Success story doesn't even begin to describe our relationship. We were matched on May 26, 2011, had our first date on June 13, got engaged on July 9, and are scheduled to be married on October 8, 2011...the entire process to barely take four months. After 40+ years, many heartaches and other tribulations, God finally brought us together via this little website known as eHarmony. God truly blessed our "broken roads" that led us straight to each other. We are extremely happy and looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together. Glory be to God and thanks to eHarmony for making our dreams come true. You know, I don't think of love as a game. However, it's kinda like the lottery...you can't win if you don't play!

I love happy endings!!! Congrats!!

I ask this one question without offense, please. Do you have any reservations of this happening so quickly?? How do you respond to friends asking that, if anyone has? And could you give an age range?

Thanks in advance for letting me pick your brain.

Congraulations, but you got engaged after less than a month of dating?! Be careful... even if you've been talking daily, there's almost certainly so much you don't know about one another yet. Whatever happens, I wish you much success in your love life.

I don't often trot out this little story, but it looks like the OP might use a little help...

I married the first time two weeks from our first date. Our marriage lasted 18 years, and ended in a friendly divorce, with each of us wishing the other well...just about as good as it can get, as far as divorces go.

While I certainly don't advise others on their timelines...you won't catch me speaking against the Whirlwind Romance.

/\This/\ I hear so many pine that they have no one but then refuse to take an active role by actively looking for another.

Congrats to you!

I'm just curious. If you are so willing to give God the credit for your good fortune, if everything ends up going to carp in a few months, will you be willing to give God the blame? I mean, heck, it sounds like it would be unfair to let Him of the hook since He was so instrumental in making it all happen. Personally, I never, ever give God any credit for the good stuff in my life, so I don't have to give him the blame when he causes me pain and misery.

Each is entitled to their own opinion but I'm sorry to hear that you feel this way. This poster obviously has a strong faith which is rare these days. I commend the OP.

Yes, of course she is. Faith, however, is not as rare as you might think these days. The nineteen men, for example, who flew aircraft into the Trade Center and the Pentagon, killing thousands in the process, had more faith than anyone I know.

A thread in the "Success Stories" forum about someone being happy they found their life partner on eHarmony.. much like a wedding.. is hardly the time nor the place to question God and Faith, nor discuss acts of terrorism, death, and destruction. There's a whole Religion & Spirituality forum better suited to that purpose.

IMHO.

Although I was speaking of Christian faith, point taken. I should have clarified.
