First,
I want to thank those of you who posted comments to my thread. The wonderful man that found me also saw the post after I told him about it - he thought it was great!

We're meeting next month for the first time and we're both excited!! We both are so thankful for E-Harmony and the process we went through to get to where we are. The questions, and the entire process did exactly what it was supposed to do - find the love of our life.

I've read several post of individuals who are not happy with EH - everything from saying "EH has not sent the right matches to EH not fulfilling up to what it promises..." First, EH is only as good as those who sign up on EH. You still have quite a few people out there that think meeting someone online is out of "desparation..." I told someone about EH and she said "girl...I'm not THAT desparate...I'll do it the old fashion way..." Well, she's been heart broken, and you know the rest of the story. Not that I am saying the old fashion way is wrong. However, EH helped us both to "wade" through all the "junk" and find pure gold! Not a day goes by since we were matched; has he not said how much he feels about me, how thankful he is that he found me, how much he has in his heart for me and he wants his future to include me.

As I shared earlier, I closed (and was closed) after some 400 matches; he closed (was was closed) after some 5-600 matches. I've been on EH for quite some time, and initally - I too was "frustrated" with the lack of matches and just thought EH was not for me (which explains the turn on EH and turn off EH matches several times during the year or more).

And, to add to what God has done through EH - he's very fond of my daughter! When he calls, he ask about her and her well being. Being a single parent and getting out there again is very critical! Why? Because who ever I am with - must accept and love my child as I do. Not many men are willing to do so. My match was also a single parent for years - and he understands who important that is. He told me when the time comes to ask me to be his wife - he's going to ask my daughter for my hand.

I know for certain, it was EH - and of course my God and using this tool - my prayers have been answered. Lastly, one thing I found out about what captured his attention to me (and my attention to him) - our PROFILES & Picttures!!! Ladies - not posting a pic sends several messages and red flags! Also, posting a pic of just your "face" also sends hidden messages - this will possibly run off a potential match. Also, your profile! Saying things like "I want to save the all the little children and give back to man kind...." PLEASE!!!! Just be yourself!!

Make sure you state clearly what's in your heart - and keep a balance on who you are without compromising. And when it comes to your pics - if you're not where you want to be with (weigh, hair, etc.) Then, I would wait - get that right and then come back to EH and post. Lastly, don't settle. There are things I look for in each profile I received, and if I didn't see it; I closed it. Things like: spirituality, fitness, the books they read and what they are looking for and how concise their postings are. If a match only posted one or two "words..." and it didn't relay to me a full picture - they were history. And, if there were no PICS - automatic - closed!!

All of which I have shared with you - my match indicated he looked for the same thing when he saw my match.

We have quite a bit planned for 2010 already - and we're meeting in two weeks. He's going to be here for 10 days (staying in a hotel - of course!! And that's the way it should be! I don't want to compromise - or give room to compromise who I am in Christ. Nor do I want my daughter to ever question the appropriateness of our relationship. I will post again once we meet ( we both will) and I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year! And, for those of you who are still searching - PLEASE don't give up!! There is Somebody there for you! My Somebody found me and I am ever grateful for EH!
