So I know there are those of you out there doubting eHarmony, and this isn't the most popular place to hear from people who it actually worked for, but that's why I wanted to share my wonderful news with you all here.

My boyfriend of more than a year and a half proposed to me a little over a week ago on a gondola floating through Venice! We were matched on eHarmony on 07/27/2007 and will be married 09/27/2009!

Just wanted to share the good news with the scant friends I have on here, and say :P pbbtthhh :P to some certain people here who said my relationship wasn't going anywhere when I asked for advice about this topic.

Dear AnEarForYou,

What wonderful news, and what a romantic engagement story!!! It doesn't get much better than that!!!

We truly appreciate you sharing your eHarmony success on our Advice site. As you know, finding the love of your life, even on eHarmony, isn't always smooth sailing, and I hope your success will inspire others to remain positive during their search.

As you probably know, we have a Success Stories page on our Singles service. If you haven't already done so, I encourage you to share your story with our Success Stories team. We learn so much from our successful couples' experiences, and we use that information to help current members be similarly successful. Of course, your story will only be posted on our Success Stories page with your permission.

Yes, I am always surprised to read the success stories for the couple who met only weeks/months before getting married. I'm glad we took are time and feel more confident our relationship will last forever because of it
