Back during the Free Communication Weekend on Labour Day, I was matched with somoene from another city. At the time, I did not even know that it was free to communicate with anyone (I paid the money) so I sent my questions to her and didn't really expect it to continue past that.


I got a reply a short time later and thought "Wow somone paid for EH!" Only later did I find out that she had not and was talking for free. No big deal, though it did explain the high number of communications I got that weekend.


Anyhow, we made it through all the guided communication in short order and were in OC before we knew it. Knowing that she would lose use of EH on the Monday, I sent her my email address and we started emailing each other. A few days later I called her and we talked for over 2 hours. It was like we could not stop talking about stuff!


Finally our schedules allowed us to have our first date. It went well but I didn't really feel "fireworks" that night. It was after she got home and came online at my request, I wanted to make sure she made it home okay, that I realized a slight attraction to her.


We had our second date the following weekend and I met her two daughters and instantly adored them both. I knew this was much more than I had thought and despite some fears, decided to pursue her.


We talked every day on the phone the next week, not only on my home phone but my cell as well. It was a shocker when I got a $290.00 phone bill from my cell, needless to say I changed phone plans on both phones quick after that!


We have now been going out for over eight weeks now and I am truly in love for the first time in my life. She is everything that I have looked for in a mate my whole life. We get along great and finish each others sentences and know what the other is thinking all the time. I spend every weekend with her, living at her house (I don't have a drivers licence but got handed a drivers handbook on our second date *hint hint* so I am learning now how to drive). I miss her the minute that she drops me off at my work on Sunday nights.


So yes E Harmony did bring us together and for that I am grateful! I found somone that I can envision myself spending the rest of my life with.


Mind you it took over 200 closed matches to find her but I look at it as it being no different than cruising the town or going to a bar. So don't get discouraged if one or two matches don't pan out, keep on looking because you never know when your next match will be "the one"!

I have no doubt that eHarmony can work. After all, they really just make the introductions. We take it from there.
