My advice in this context depends on what has been happening so far, and whether you want to take this opportunity to make a next step of some kind.

If you're intimate already, and haven't yet had any trip or vacation together, I think planning a mini-vacation for the president day weekend is a good idea.

If you wish to give a gift, I think something like a variety pack of Beers is good.

For my first Valentine's Day with my guy, I'm planning to give him a CD with songs from bands that are playing at a concert we've got ticket to see next month, a small framed photo of us that a friend took a couple weeks ago, and nice down feather pillows... he doesn't like the memory foam one's I've got on my bed, so he can keep them here!

That's nice. He has a photo of me on the mantel, but one of us would be much, much better. Good idea. Thanks.
