It's all about the personal touches; knowing your partner's likes and dislikes, preferences and letting him/her know that you love them. I've always thought that it's really important to make time for each other and your relationship too.http://www.revitaliseyourmarriage.com/romance-in-marriage/

Amen to all 4...this is something both should do on a regular basis.

I've got to say, I agree with all of these.  Number four, about giving personailzed gifts, is especially important.  This is something my father has perfected with my mom through the years, and something I hope to replicate with my own wife, should I ever have one.  It takes time, and interest, and making notes. In fact, the only one of these that I haven't seen Mom and Dad employ is the homecooked meal--although Mom did make homecooked meals, it didn't seem to be aimed at seducing Dad, per se.  Dad's occasional forays into cooking, although they were acts of love aimed at Mom, didn't seem to necessarily be romantic gestures either.A couple of extra ways I saw Mom and Dad "fan the flames" were: 1)Mom making a distinct effort to always look nice for Dad--keeping her weight down, fixing her hair, doing her makeup, and picking colors and cuts of clothing that flattered her--even if it was just jeans and a sweatshirt, 2) always kissing goodbye and saying 'ILU' when they parted (even if he was just going to work), and kissing hello when one of them got back home, and 3) Periodically, going away for an overnight, just the two of them. The point is, it takes a conscious effort to keep the fires burning, but it's the little things that do it, not the big stuff.  Good article.
