Your boyfriend allowed another man to come between you. You can tell when things with someone (not your partner) with whom you're interacting starts to cross the line of propriety. He knew what he was doing and he made the choice to continue. It sounds to me that the only way to protect your heart is to let the relationship go. Since you can't move out right now then I'm at a loss. All I can say is that I'm so sorry for your hurt and I wish you the best.

Having feelings for another person is something that needs to be resolved before the relationship can continue. It's simply not fair to all parties involved. I was recently engaged. I was friends with a former boyfriend who I continued to have a close (platonic) relationship with. We never talked about our feelings for each other when we dated. I had unresolved feelings for this person, but never said anything about it. But once I got engaged, he admitted to me that he had feelings for me. I tried for a few months, but ultimately the engagement ended. Whether or not, things will last, I don't know. But I couldn't be engaged to one person when all I did was think abou this other person all the time.

Your boyfriend needs to work out his feelings. His feelings could simply be b/c you guys were in a rough patch and it's something shinny and new. You need to give him time to work it out on his own. If not, you could push him away. And you certainly don't want to push him prematurely in either direction.

Sorry to say sucks to be that fiancee

If I knew my girlfriend still had feelings for her ex but still wanted to be engaged with me, boy I would take her out to dinner, but put extra hot sauce in her food!
