Are you prepared to continue flowers sporadically from now on?

Don't go in yourself to deliver them, something small (big says "ENGAGED" or "I screwed up"), don't do FTD go with a local florist (I myself am a florist and FTD just sends the job t the local florist anyways- save yourself some money), and remember that everyone reads the card. Everyone.

Good luck!

It's a glow-in-the-dark compass ring, so you don't get lost.

The last time I re-gifted something it was a bouquet of flowers from a friend who knew he was just a friend in my eyes, but was hoping for more. I thanked him and told him I was going to take them to a children's hospital, where they would do more good (plus, I was going out of town the next day, so wouldn't have been able to enjoy them much, anyway). I don't re-gift much, but usually do inform the giver of my plans.
Ooops, I thought I had responded already and just now realised I had not. What you describe is what I call the hopeful bribe. Giving of something in the hope it will change the recipient's mind. I wouldn't consider anything in that situation to be a gift.
