I have been dating with a match from eH for two months. Everything seems fine and fun. He wants to introduce me to his close friends next week. We will meet up in a fine restaurant known for its stone crab. Any advice on Do's and Don'ts? I do feel a bit nervous about it.

Either play it by ear or ask your date for advice if there is something you are not certain about and relax and enjoy it. Have a great time.

Find out a little bit about his friends first; and then you won't be nervous about making a faux pas. I know it's nerve-wracking. Somewhere in the eHA files, there's a thread I started last October when I was freaking out about being invited out by my now-fiance to meet some of his friends; and I was almost chickening out of going! Lots of nice eHA folk talked me into it, and I had a great time. You probably will, too.

Well my favorite Crab Houses are Joe's Stone Crabs in Miami and Abe's Stone Crabs in Atlantic City. The traditional drink is several pitchers of beer or soda so don't belch or wash at the portable washing station or someone will sneak up and squirt you when you don't expect it. Just look good and be "one of the guys", But lady like! A sense of humor is a good friend to have with you. Bonna Pettite!

Don't: run around the restaurant naked.

Do: sit in each friends lap for a few minutes when you're introduced to them. You want them to feel you're happy to meet them.

He's serious enough about his relationship with you to introduce you to his friends. To me that means that he's not worried about how you'll do.

Don't - worry about it.

Do - enjoy yourself and have a good time. Make sure you have a chance to spend some time with each of his friends and just stick to small talk for the evening.

ESPECIALLY in a crab restaurant!! There might be some live crabs somewhere!

but seriously OP...if you're not a strong drinker and you can't hold your alcohol...keep a slow pace on it...so you won't catch yourself saying some stuff that you might regret, etc. My friend brought his date to our game night (maybe about 30 people) and she held her own throughout the night and we absolutely ADORED her!

If your date's friends are cool....then all should be ok! Good luck!
