What does it mean when tthe woman i have been dating tells me how good she had it when she was with her last boyfriend. How he promised her everything, and could afford it. How much her parents addored him. It was a long term relationship with a lot more perks than I can afford.

Wow, thats pretty harsh on her part. I hate to say it, but Tweet37 is right. She obviously doesnt respect your or your current relationship enough appreciate what she has. By talking him up, she is actually belittling you. I would say that she is still hung up on him, or he wouldnt be on her mind so much. If it were me... and I am sorry that it may come to this... I would tell her to hit the road before she decides to sneak back to him behind your back. I hope I am wrong, but man to man. ... She is just plain disrespectful!! You deserve better!

I don't think you deserve that. If she isn't over him, then she shouldn't be with you. You shouldn't have to worry that she is going to talk about how good her ex was when she is with you. You deserve to be with someone who appreciates what YOU do for them and only wants to be with you. I would not date her anymore.

It obviously wasn't that good of a relationship or else they would still be together ... I take this also to mean that maybe you should move on and find someone who has a taste for the simpler things in life because you will just exhaust yourself to no end trying to fill her material needs that you may not have enough energy to actually put into building a relationship.

She hates your guts, but doesn't have the courage to tell you straight out.

It seems as though she has the opportunity to get back with him, but feels it would be wrong to break up with you in order to do that, so she is trying to get you to break up with her.

Now the question is: Do you want to oblige her?

It means she's not treating you very well and you need to move on. No one deserves that. Maybe she wasn't that nice to "Mr. Wonderful" either and maybe that's why they aren't together.

OK, but, she also says our intimate relationship is way better, we connect so much better, she left a guy that has some serious cash and was willing to throw it at her to keep her happy, yet she is with me. I make a decent living but not what he makes. I am certainley not going to write her off at this point. She is a keeper so far...

She wants you to be like him.

Simple as that.
